^^^ what he said, though i would add that the current trend is tuning around 28hz up to 32. also, tuning should depend upon equipment and goals, as well as music taste and personal taste. all in all, 35hz is a good daily driver tuning, if one doesn't mind a box that could potentially be a bit peaky. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and just a nitpick.... the orange basket/yellow kevlar cone and blue silk tweeter is a dead giveaway. your componets weren't m-class, they were/are memphis sqs. of course now they have a blck cone/grey basket with black silk. i've owned enough of those to start my own memphis audio store, lol. m-class from that era had black poly cones and metallic tweeters that were silver. otherwise, pretty sweet install! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

large 4ohm two channel....large regulated amp (jl slash, pg xenon iirc, alpine has one) or really, really big 1 or 2ohm mono block and run it at lesser power. 1-2k is plenty. i ran the proto 12 on an orion 2500d,stable to 1ohm(2500wrms @1),ran at 3 ohm for ~1200wrms, and off a factory h/u did a 139.9. in a small box! (2.5cubes @ 28hz w/32in^2 of port) too be honest, if you can find the older orion 2500d, it's perfect for the rl-s IMO. won't strain your electrical @ 3ohm (with box rise, definitely closer to 4) and if you add a second rl-s, you won't need to change amps. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if the maw 10s are d2 subs, and you wired them like in the first pic (parallel, all teh positives together, and all teh megatives together) you are indeed at .5ohm. you need to series each sub, positive from one coil to the negative of the other and the remaining positive and negative go to the amp,(each sub) and you'll have your 2 ohm final load. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

huh? a 1911 has two safeties..the thumb which is used for the cock and lock, and the grip dafety. unless you have one i know nothing about, how could yours have 3? or 2-3 AFTER the thumb? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yes, we know that. BUT you stated, and i quote, our question is how in the hell did you run those subs BOTH IB and ported? i don't believe anyone here, or anywhere for that matter, has heard of a ported IB setup. could you please educate us? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

keltec p3at ruger lcp seecamp (expensive) Rohrbaugh (expensive) north american arms guardian ^^^ best of the small breeds bersa thunder cz colt mustang (if you can find one, expensive) original s&w sigma (though i lot of people don't like them. i know where one is and am thinking of adding it to the collection) slightly larger versions and the list can go on. but those are some of the better names to look for. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Im actually thinking of buying a Ruger LCP. smooth little pistol. while i haven't shot one yet, i did give one the once over at my local favorite shop. very refined compared to what it's copied off of. and i don't care what ruger says, lol, they copied the kel-tec. i wonder if parts are interchangeable. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the para's with their LDA trigger are great "beginner" 1911s has you don't have to carry cocked adn locked. but they have all the controls in the right place so one can learn the feel. and to be honest, the 1911 wasn't designed for cocked and locked, but rather half-cock. and one was supposed to pull the hammer the rest of the way back. in half cock, the trigger won't go nowhere. but GIs figured out cocked and locked was way faster. but the original idea is why detonics are notched at the rear of the slide and the rear sight moved forward, to facilitate the thumb cocking of the hammer. and i'm with you matt. up until the sr9, no ruger auto (save teh mark series of .22s) ever struck my fancy. hated the grip, the look and fit. the revolvers have always been nice though. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
