actually, supa has a good idea man...just make a new username....pm the ppl that u feel need to know...and go on with it. or jsut leave ca.com....falk 'em.....that place will never grow up. it's the laughing stock of the car audio community. used to be different....jlaine, ramos and zane all hung out there...bigbassman, rangerman and a few others have all left. there really isn't a want for a mature, intelligent person to be there. if ur not on the bandwagon, ur a nobody...lol... oh yeah..if ur system can't hit 16000000dbzzzzzzz, u gotta suck..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yep, my bad! i was thinking 12..u have a 15.....sorry bro! i agree with mike..aim for about 2ft^3 sealed, inverted or otherwise. no loss of output or sound quality by going inverted. if u go ported, aim for 2.5-3ft^3, tuned in the 30-34hz range. 30-45in^2 of port.... and if u invert and go ported, like scott mentioned, make sure u account for port displacement... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

only two super mods left... steve and myself... two admins.... aaron and mark.... the rest are regular mods... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

inverted or otherwise.... 1.25-1.35ft^3 sealed... 1.75-2ft^3 ported tune3d to 30-34hz...25-35in^2 of port.. if u go inverted, all u have to do is the math to figure out how big the box will be with no sub displacment. ported, u'll just need to figure in port displacement... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

with a 1000wrms on tap reza, u really need the 2ft^3 tuned to 32-34 hz ported enclosure. anywhere from 25-35in^2 of port will work just fine. i ran mine in ~2ft^3, 32in^2 of port tuned to 34hz and wow...that sub rocked! loud, low and responsive! from 750wrms to 1200wrms, the rl-p in that size box is a dream! if plans are what u need, like finebar mentioned, get ahold of aneonrider (scott), who will be more then happy to design and provide a cut sheet...if dimensions are all you need, i'll be more then happy to help as well... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

just in case u don't remember, here's the old install pics... this is how the enclosure did sit in the truck... where the orion 2500d sat... and the red top with the tsunami topper on it..... and now, the new install....in progress...lol... the enclosure....adn the solo...how's about 250pds of box/sub combo?? installing the ma audio and setting the gains....85volts=sqrt(3600wrmsx2ohms)..it's jsut under half gain there..set at 53hz (my burping freq), i've seen spikes over 100 at lower freqs!! might need to reset them, suggestions as to what frequency i should use? wtf am i doing??? ahhh..that's what i'm doing...lol...i'm attempting to make my truck more hatchback, suv like. hence sub up, ports firing back into that mdf wall. the ports are 2.5" wide (70in^2 of port total betwen two ports, kicker recommened tuner) adn i have about 3.5" from port to wall... i need to get it mic'd as i know i've picked up on the lowend, but with the huge voltage drops, the ma shuts off before a full burp, so i haven't a clue if i picked any up in the upper end. but u can feel the difference down low! one more pic..... the new look of my red top...lol...no topper on it!!! just my knukonceptz terminals and ring terminals....i think it's a cleaner look this way... that's it...suggestions? idea's? thought's? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i will for sure look into them...but i don't like kits...not really DIY to me, ya know? which is why i didn't use a kit for my boy's bookshelves. yeah, i got kinda lucky inthe xover department, but i really enjoy the trial and error part of it all. i also love the feeling of satisfaction knowing that the reason why it sounds good is because of the work i put into it. but i'll still look into it..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ok, i've got the high end covered...with these planars, thanks ryan but i need help with the mid and sub....i want to do a three way set up. here's some idea's... these for the midbass/range these for the subs i have no idea about the crossovers... i want to do either a 10 or a 12 in each tower (or a pair of something) and either a 5.25 or 6-6.5 for the mid. i don't want to spend a fortune, but i want to thrash my 14 year old set of pioneer towers.... HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

send me urs?? and i set the gains at 53hz, which is where it was burping it's loudest earlier.... elias, i thought u guys said it didn't like .5nominal? that's all i can wire too, .5 or 2....i know with impedence rise, it's not staying at .5, but still....is it going to be rising higher after starting at 2ohm? time to put the clamp meter and dmm on it...lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
