with that little contact, i doubt u'll get any audible interference. as to the 90* rule, i haven't a clue. stay tuned as i'm sure our local techies will chime in here... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
yep...it's getting pretty informational in here...lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

memphis pr15 jim, or mclass (not quite as cheap)....cheap and loves that power! would enjoy that enclosure as well... u could probably port it as well, since the tc9 has quite a bit more displacment i'm sure... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
jim..nice sig banner..i likes it! almost as kewl as mine............almost wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

it's an awesome lil amp! birthsheet jsut over 530wrms... it's funny, one of the trim panel on the outside of the trunk (the one around the license plate) rattles so bad, ppl think there is a 15 in there....tiss funny to see their face when they find out it's only a ten...lol... that rattle has sold quite a few kicker amps and my boxes...no pg subs though...they is too ugly... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
and away we go... PG xenon d4 10", ~1ft^3 tuned to 40hz, kicker 400.1 with a birthsheet over 500wrms..... the embossed bos design on the left came from a pic of another box he saw...the one around the ten is because this box was originally built for a pr10..teh xenon is quite a bit deeper... teh white flakes in the trunk turned out to bethe remanents of hiw rear infinity 6x9 cones...lol...they just literally fell apart.no reason. been in the car about a year or so, off factory power, now sony hu power..lol...they never noticed a difference in sound... the memphis subs are my old 10" hpo's. i wish i had them back... the still pr0n of coins jumping and the cell phone about to take off, best i could get with my camera... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
easy on the wheeeeee's there...lol...that's my line! and james...if u were going to remove every useless post at crapaudio.com, there wouln't be a crap audio.comleft (except for the old stuff, maybe) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and i take it ls1pimp is up to his chit again? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

G55= $1 or $100k....if it's made to go offraod..offroad it will go! i rountinely take my silverado off road, it's $35k...ppl are all time asking me why...why? it's a z-71, the offroad package. if ur not going to use it properly, don't buy it. jim, i remember the pinz now...and non articulated suspension isn't necessarly a bad thing...the all independent might cost each axle a bit of articulation..it needs the 'mogs portal axles... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

for the most part, air is air... there is some technical mumble jumble to go inhere, but i'll let one of the techies explain it. with that design, u should have zero issues....except deafness.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

benz..beemer..same thing different falking smell anyway, he should still be able to help as they are both dampened like mad.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

that's actually a really nice looking box...adn i've heard alot of good things about subzero enclosures....i say keep the box. psycho..he can indeed manipulate tuning by changing the size/ number of ports. this also changes displacment, unless he just seals one up.... m5...u're correct as well. the smaller the box, the longer the port will have to be for a set frequency, ie: 35hz port in a 2ft^3 box will be longer then a 35hz port in a 3ft^3 box. adn the higher tuning will result in a shorter port...ie: 35hz port in a 2ft^3 box is longer then 40hz port in a 2ft^3 box.. BUT..this assumes the same size port, ie: all ports are 4" round int he above examples. different port sizes will result in different lengths. pherz1er.....the power hx2 and rl-p are going to be roughly the same size, if anything, the rl-p will be a tad smaller. so displacment will go up a bit, lowering tuning a bit. tell ya what..i can't seem to find that enclosure at the subzero website...pherz1er..do u have a link for it? or a spec sheet? before u make a decision on selling it or not, let me check it out some more. like i said, subzero makes some really nice enclosures (really won't label them prefabbed, ya know?) and that one u have might just work out great... also, like psycho mentioned...with properly set gains, the rl-p will indeed handle the 1200 u have... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

all the math is correct, the only problem is, with the port, u forgot to figure in the wood thickness in ur displacement. it's actually going to displace about .6ft^3, leaving u with a 1.7ft^3 net box. also, according to this port calculator, ur port need to be 33.17 inches long...but i'd just do 33". so, using a 33" long port, 13 x 2 port area..we have (not figuring in end correction, which i don't feel is necessary for daily drivers, unless ur anal about things) .68ft^3 of port displacment.. we have .18ft^3 of driver displacment, plus the port is .86ft^3 of total displacement inside the box....we are aiming for 1.9ft^3 total volume, so we need 2.76ft^3 gross internal voume... here's the box u need to build.... 14.5t x 32.25w x 13.5d. that will five u about 2.78ft^3 gross...or 1.92 net...close enough...lol.. port, 13t x 2w x 33l wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
all u have here is 1.28ft^3 gross... make ur box 15x15x16....after sub displacment, u'll have 1.35ft^3.. or, if height is an issue..go 14x16x16.25...will be just a touch larger then 1.35ft^3 net wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
there is a real close guesstimate up there somwhere concerning the price... best bet? email mike directly, [email protected], to get the latest info on the rl-s wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
neither... get one type r 12 and smoke em both!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
howdy! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
i like to think so...lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
lol..i like the g-class..very offroadish..and u bet ur ass i'd have it offroad! i'm not paying that kind of money NOT to take it into the mud, woods and rocks!! and links to the pinz? not sure i'm aware of that one... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
are those the specs AFTER u put in the sub, or jsut the general specs? reason being, if those are before the sub goes in, then ur displacment will drop and ur tuning will go higher...no tmuch, but still higher.. anyway, volume wise, yep, that's a decent box..tuning is high..might not be the best sounding thing going, but should work well enough untill u could build a proper box... how much power will u be sending it? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
the pg xenon is hideous..but he got it cheap, bnib...like pr price cheap... and it sounds pretty good in there... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
yeah, but all accounts, it should give the wrangler a run for it's money...price is high, but with a toyota, it's almost worth it. yep, it's ugly...but most decent off road vehicles are... think... h1 unimog m37 willys old land rover while some of those needed mods to truely perform, they all are considered some of the best for their inteded application... some that looked good while wheeling original fj early bronco cj newer land rover of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
