depending upon person, market and what they are selling...it has a great potential. but like u already mentioned, it also has a certain downside. personally, i like a salaried with commision override type of job. that way when u have a down week, at least ur still getting paid something, but the reward of pushing urself is still there as u can earn way over the salary with the override. of course, uncapped bonus's are always nice. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well, maybe not the whole thread...but a nice little review, summary type thing could be... and dave, since ur the guru...u can write it..lol..i'll sticky it.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i was told in rockford,il that if they aren't in a crosswalk, they are fair game. i mean if u hit them, it's thier fault, regardless of the circumstances (ie: u swerved to hit the fool). but if they are in a marked crossing point, they have right away. man, that could be a serious stress reliever....my truck, a buckstop bumper (pictured here) , and a few hours to kill....lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

would you put 1200wrms to one RL-p 15 D2?
mrray13 replied to Amish Marauder's topic in SoundSplinter
Because they need something to measure their e-penii by. Duh. then i have a fairly large e-penii...i mean with 4kw on tap in my truck and 2.5kw on tap in the TB...that should mean at least an above average e-penii, correct? but then again, i run 2.5 (actually wired to the 1.2kw)kw in the TB simply because i was playing with the rl-s at the time i installed the stuff. in time the orion will be replaced with the hifonics nemesis nx750d that was originally bought for the rl-p. so the rl-p will then be getting 750 daily. is that better? lol...... so maybe it's just a matter of what's lying around, or previous install or just the inane want to get silly loud while sounding really, really good. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
a really strong clipped signal can help in the death of a speaker. not sure it will cause the death all by itself, but it will add to the heat buildup within the coil that can indeed lead to failure. but that is an arguement reserved for it's own thread, not for hijacking nate's.... i agree with denim, i leave the loud off and gain up a bit. especially if i'm running my highs of the h/u power. no since in listening to distortion if i don't have too.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

2 questions about setting ur gains
mrray13 replied to jprix82's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
1) u set each gain to the speakers ur using....basicly set up each gain as though it was a seperate amp, unless ur speakers are all the same then i'd set them to the same voltage. not sure that it's that important to gain match a 4 channel, i think it'll depend on the specific speakers ur using and the power they are rated for. 2)yep. add the subs together. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
good mono amp for my 12's?
mrray13 replied to natedizzle's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
lpf, subsonic filter are the main two to look for. a phase control can be useful. but other then that, all that's needed is gain. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -

i'm running 1.2kw to my 12" rl-p right now...no issues what so ever. off an orion 2500d... 1.2kw on the 15 sealed would equal sweetness!! on one ported would equal deafness..lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
the pr's will work, the m3's are better, but of course cost more money. there are no authorized online retailers of memphis subs, though they can be bought off of ebay. i might be able to talk a dealer friend into selling a pair cheap...i know he's selling his m1's pretty cheap if ur interested in those. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
