i think i wanna buy a hand gun

same hole at 15yds? with a p3at? i call bullshit, even with a laser. i own one, have several hunderd rounds through it and at 15yds, with standard "sights", it's good to keep the full mag just in center mass. and yeah, i've polished the feed ramp as well, but that does nothing for accuracy. only reliability, and even then the gun is easy to jam by simply not holding it correctly. so you want to recommend a .380 sub-sub compact back-up, that even in second gen has had some issues, to a gun no0b to carry as a primary? and post your accuracy results on ktog.org, see how many people call you out, or offer to buy your p3at, lol. i'm not trying to stir anything, but comeon. i want video proof of what your are claiming. until then, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Perfect example of why the AR series rifles are not cartried with a round in the chamber. There is no spring on the firing pin and no block for it either. Impact the muzzle of the weapon hard enough and it will discharge from the inertia of the firing pin. Most autopistols are meant to be carried with one in the chamber. For a defensive weapon, you'd almost be stupid not to carry that way. You don't need to carry "cocked and locked" though many weapons are made to be carried that way as well. Whatever condition you carry in needs to be the condition that you practice from. Not just at the range, either. Practice drawing a cleared and empty weapon from your carry rig and readying it to fire (safety off, thumb cock a single action if you carry it hammer down, etc...) No amount of ammo is a replacement for training. If you are not willing to train with your weapon to the point that employing it is second nature, you probably shouldn't be carrying it. You're more a hazzard with it than a help. Your average cop is only marginally qualified to carry a gun. Too few departments empahsize adequate training and when the bullets start to fly that training is what you have to be able to fall back on. Everyone who uses a weapon regularly is scared at that moment. Training is what gets them through it. It's just the same as with any complex task that needs to be performed under stress, repetitve, regular training is essential. can i get an amen??? even in the state i am now, drunk, i trust the practice, teh training i do, will keep me and my family safe. i will dry run my firearm more times then i care to admit, and why? jus tin case i need to do it for real. i don't have to think about it, i just do it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    "Advice"

the two i live most by are, it's only a stupid mistake if you don't learn from it life is too short to take it seriously regardless of what people might say, 100 years ain't shit in the long run, make the most of what you are given. and if you can't admit or can't see you are wrong, you'll never learn from that. i'll toss in, life's goal isn't to walk into heaven in a perfect body, but rather to slide in sideways yelling at the top of your lungs, damn that was one helluva ride!!! oh yeah, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

that would be cool. especially if the scoots were brought down, as IIRC sanders rides and i know my sensai does. a little mini meet would be the bomb. j, oh i can't learn enough, lol. i so enjoy it it's unreal. i don't care if i win or lose, i just enjoy the compitetion and struggle of it. of course kicking ass is great, lol, but you don't always learn from it. as a corner judge told me after my loss, " sometimes it's better to lose in frustration then to win by destroying your opponet. you can't learn anything if the other person lays down". and he's right. i did learn a few things from it, and i'm already changing my style to suit tounament point fighting better. we'll see if it works, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Welcome to the IHoP

great first scoot. i loved my 73 cb750k. easy to mod, easy to ride, though a little heavy and clumsy for the driving test if it's your first bike. though the 500 should be a bit lighter on it's feet. how much is he asking? in great shape, with that age, i'd expect somewhere in the $1200-1500 range. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

15 or 18 on a budget, need help

look into ssa's new line, it's coming out with an 18. otherwise the ICON would be a fine choice. mach5 spl series of subs. sundown nightshades. combine any of those with sundown power and your a winner! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Need help selecting a sub

the SSA ICON 12 would work great as well. only needs 2ft^3 ported and will eat up the 1200wrms and give you great sound and plenty of output in return. the Soundsplinter Rl-p is another great choice. though 1200wrms is on the high side for it, but with proper gain setting, should work great. the mach5 IXL or spl 12. while i've not heard either driver, if either driver performs the way the maw12 did, they would be a great choice. and as mentioned, either a pair of BMs, or a single Mag, would be a great choice. the pair of BMs might even be a better road simply due to cone area, efficiency and mounting depth. and you can't go wrong with the Q. another fine option. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

please don't misunderstand me, i'm not trying to dog the xD. but i don't want someone givng the wrong impression to a firearm no0b either. i don't care if the pistol has 20 safeties, it doesn't replace training and common sense. and accidents happen, safety on or off. if people shot themselves pulling their firearm, it was user error and poor training. not firearm design. one can grab an xD and shoot themselves in the foot with poor technique and training. i'm not military, lol. i am diligent in firearms and training to use them. i'm currently enrolled is a school that teaches what amounts to mixed martial arts, lol. there are roughly seven different styles we learn, including training for mma fighting. i'm also hoping for my first fight around september, though it might get put back. we shall see. and i'm not trying to degrade your opinion. i just don't want your opinion to be mistaken as fact. hope you understand. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    SSA ARCADE INSTALLED!

ESP or perhaps, common sense which comes from being a Physicist. I am not sure I want to play against Mark. We can set up poker tournaments on here once I figure out how to install games in the arcade. Been having some trouble with it. I'll figure it out though. Also, any interest in installing a casino here as well? You could play for SSA POINTS, lol that would be the pimp shit right there!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

funny, i carry my glock in condition 1 all the time, never an issue. you'd have to drop it and something hit the trigger jsut right. seems as though the trigger safety in teh xD, sigma, m&p and walthers all were copied from someone....oh yeah!! glock. who, btw, has it right. and another note, ANY safety can malfunction. so jsut because one has a sidearm with multipule safeties doesn't make it any better then a sidearm with just one. also, what if you don't grab your xD correctly? you pull the trigger and no bang. and it is an issue with any grip safety ever invented. why do you think every 1911 on the planet, save mil spec versions, all have bumped grip safeties? the moment one assumes all is well because the safety is on, is the moment when it can all go wrong. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

shit, i don't know. i did grapple a bit with sanders last night and he's a crafty lil bastage, lol. i didn't fall for it and ended up making him tap with a "kimora" style choke that he taught us last night, lol. it was fun and he is good! 1: Start out going SOUTH on N JACKSON ST toward OAKCREST ST. 0.8 mi Map 2: Turn RIGHT onto BELVIDERE ST/IL-120. not only capacity us a crutch. several forces went to lasers for awhile, under the barrel type, and at first accuracy went up. but what happens if the laser doesn't work or you forget to turn it on? they found out the cops couldn't shoot using iron sights after getting used to the laser. bye bye laser. which is why none of my home defense guns carry any kind of electronic sight. a good set of night sights and that is all that is needed. i want an ar as well, but i want a piston driven version. the normal gas impingment version just doesn't float me interest. i'm not a stickler for cleaning, lol. teh 204 ruger has gotten my attention, as well as the 6.8 grendel and .50 beowulf. the 6.8spc is getting some serious looks as well. but who knows? i love the way the .223 shoots. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Baby friendly suggestions.

i wouldn't be worried about the safety side of things, they are built solid as all hell. as for not enough room, well, can't really argue, although the clubman does have quite a bit for a small car. but i thought what the hell, lol. i'd throw it out there. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

of the compacts, the only one, IMO, that is truely a compact is the m&p. and the only reason i say that is that is has a lower then normal slide height. the taurus and the xD are hugely tall in the slide department and as thus, takes them away from being a compact. simply shorting the barrel and grip, IMO again, simply does not make it compact. STI is a great choice. nighthawk is one i'm looking at quite hard, though budget says they might be a bit high. if you're looking at taurus, look at s&w for there 1911s as well. one can get quite a bit for the money with a smith. i want a .357sig, but honestly don't know what for, lol. i guess that would be on my short list, possibly in a glock frame, maybe in a sig frame. another 1911 will find it's way into my home, though it won't be a kimber. teh s&w is real high, as is springfield, on that list. no budget, would definitely be looking at nighthawk, reeder or any other of the custom shops. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

excellent post. have you considered the ruger sr9?(don't remeber if it's on your short list) i have yet to see one locally, though it's been grabbing a shit ton of great reviews. 17+1 in a package that isn't any wider then a single stack 1911. they seem to have hit a home run with this one. plus even i like the looks, unlike previous ruger polymers. i can't wait to get ahold of one, check out the erogonomics. if it's has good as the reviews say, and it fits the wife's hand, there will be a 9mm in the family. otherwise, you've really hit the nail on the head. penguin, 10mm pistols are hardly seen for a couple of reasons. cost of ammo, low production and people who own them are hoarding them. that drives up the value. you'll be hard pressed to find one for sale anywhere but the internet. are they worth the money? IMHO, no. again, they are nothing more then a slightly longer, slightly faster, but quite a bit more expensive .40s&w. one can simply load their .40 a little hot (there is on average a 100-150fps difference between the 10mm and .40s&w round, same bullet/weight) and you will effectively have a 10mm round. of course, you could opt for the .357 sig as well. a necked down .40s&w case, only slightly smaller projectile and 10mm speed. again, cost is higher, and you are right back to similiar performance of the 9mm. and the circle continues, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I do believe you mean a .50AE, they don't make a handgun in .50BMG. No I meant the .50 BMG rifle round...I'm sure you could make a concealed carry carbine foldable stock .50 BMG gun I'd love to see someone make a snub nosed .500 S&W magnum even more umm, s&w makes a 3" version. can't get much more snubbie then that, and it was available almost from day one. the first 500 bought in the area was a snub. and it'll eat 1" plexiglass for dinner, lol. 10mm=.40s&w+p basiclly. and they aren't that rare. pricey, yes. rare, no. colt is even bringing their delta back, though i wouldn't want to pay for it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i think i wanna buy a hand gun

sorry, we'll defintiely have to disagree. tauras, s&w and springfield all make a very comperable 1911 at or less then a similiar kimber. and no less shootable, accurate or anything. kimber is a fine gun, but IMo, far better companies out there. the entry level guns from the other manufacturers are better, at a smaller price tag. you have to step up to kimber's higher line to find one worth having. and yes, this comes from experience. and let's not get into their customer service. did you know your one year kimber warranty starts the date the dealer gets the weapon? not the date you purchase it. yeah. and that's straight from a CS represenative of kimber's when my custom II started to rust for no reason. and then, they were going to "discount" the refinishing to only $250 plus shipping both ways. on a firearm that was pampered, wiped down with a micro fiber cloth and a light coat rem oil everythime it was touched. i've got to stop, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
