yep...was in my truck getting 3600wrms from an ma audio hk4000d..now it's in a escalade getting roughly 4500wrms from a memphis mc4000d @ .5ohm....daily. i did a 144.4 with it and an orion 2500d in my siverado. u'll be quite a bit louder in ur explorer.... i ran mine in (still in same box) 5.7ft^3 tuned to 36hz...go about 8ft^3 tuned to 36hz and u'll be nutz!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i was talking to denim last night, and he was like, do u wanna be loud to the ear, or loud on the mic? i really only wanna be loud to the ear, i dont care what i hit, becuase im not gonna compete...he was like some systems are loud on the mic and not to the ear, and vise versa... usually that means a street system that hits way low (which sounds way loud) compared to a comp system which sounds loud, but doesn't get quite a slow. reading polecat's posts on caraudio.com, and everyone elses, they supposedly can...theres already a bunch of people with like 2 06 L7's and a 2500d and they can handle it nicely... maybe we just have a bunch of idiots running around here..lol. but usually we don't recommend throwing 1200kwrms daily at a single L7. and we usually build to kicker specs. hmm casey talk to me... and me too...lol.....i need another 18" who cares? lol jk man i need to look it up and see how james, kevin and greg did... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i haven't done any math yet, but if noone else answers i will later... but for now i'll say this... two 12" rlp's with two 4" aeroports should be more then enough to not have any port noise. of course more would be better, and it looks as though u'll have the space to accomadate another port, but i think u'll be ok. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the one thing i don't like about my 2500d..the damn dual power inputs... oh well..it does look kinda sexy... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

most ppl haven't heard of SoundSplinter, unless they are online..and if they have heard of ss, they they'll know about the rl-s. and they'll know it's the daddy of all LMS topology. but i now have another question, since the eclipse subs are basiclly the rl-p with LMS, when, if ever, will the rl-p become LMS? what about the rl-i? can the LMS topology be applied to tcsounds and SS's entire lineup? and can LMS be done with a neo mag to save weight? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

u do realize in an explorer you really don't need 15's to get to 150 right? explorers have the gift of loud. anyway, i really don't know the sx's, but from what i've read they will hang with just about anything. teh L7's will indeed get very loud, but unless kicker has upped the power handling, i dunno how long they'll last with 1250wrms each. while i've got experience with the kickers, from what i've read about the re's, i'd just about suggest those. personally, i'd grab a 18" kicker solo x from casey (if he still has them), throw it in about 10ft^3, tuned to about 34hz (yeah, it'll still get WAYYY low) and throw ur 2500wrms on it... or a pair of 12 solo x's. casey, how'd u do at SBN? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

no need to apologize bro. i should. after reading my post just now, i really came off like i was ticked. so i apologize. anyway, like you mentioned, the hatch did help, no two ways about it. but i would wager these lil buggers can get loud in just about any vehicle. right install/power of course. i played mine for awhile in my truck in 1.25ft^3 tuned to 38hz off 1700wrms. and i was very impressed. especially for how low it could get. power wise, i'd stay in the 500-750 range, with 1700 i could bottom it out pretty quickly..lol. but i have been impressed with it regardless of box or power. it's just a badass lil 8. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well, i should get the scooter back in 2 weeeks. they start on it tomorrow, closed today. basiclly going to have a new scoot, the only things rremaining are the wheels, motor/tranny and seat. oh yeah, front fender. everything else gets replaced pretty much. no more barbed wire paint either....didn't want to wait 6 -8 weeks just to get the vivid black tins to have to ship them somewhere to get them painted. so...the scoot will have this paint... this black on black metallic ghost flame set the reason being is 1) it's in stock, so i get my bike back faster 2) it's actually cheaper in the long run, which i really don't care about, BUT i want my scoot back..lol whatcha all think? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

what vehicle is this going in? that is going to make a ton of difference, especially since you are wanting 15's only. i'm assuming some sort of suv, correct? anyway, for getting loud daily L7's are flat hard to beat. the extra cone area is just hard to overcome. also, like in casey's jeep, s12x's would be an awesome choice. yeah, a lil smaller then a 15, but not really by much. the sx would be a good choice, as would the memphis mojo. like mentioned above, electrical system is going to have to be modded as well. and don't skimp on the subs. $150 subs aren't going to live long at 150db daily, unless you buy something great used. also, think about box. a pair of 15's will be at least 5-6ft^3 NET after port and sub. and some subs will want that each. so make sure you can physically run a box that big. and once you get that big, you have to account for bracing. cuz it will be needed. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i don't think you'll have a problem, unless it's a local ordinance. more then likely, it'll just be a cop with a chip on his shoulder. you are more likely to get a noise violation ticket before you get one concerning a wall. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
