i'd almost agree with you..almost. but take any superwoofer you want, put it in that leaky, way wrong box and watch it fall on it's face. put a pyle in the absolute best enviroment, and it'll walk that superwoofer, at least in sq. will it last as long? nope, quality of product. but for those few brief minutes one would be able to brag about his funky pups going boom like so...... and i hope you understand i'm not jumping out at ya. btw, i found the remore for the eclipse. i'll try to get off my lazy ass and get it mailed to ya..lol....it needs a new battery. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i need to take some good pics of my dogs. thursday my male goes in to get his second series of shots and his ears cut. gonna look alot like the dog in my avatar then. speaking of dogs... my b-i-l has a male (my female's brother) thaat has these wacked out eyes. dog looks like he's wigged out all the time. we've mad fun of the lil falker alot about it, saying shit like he's atrue meth heads best friend. well today, that dog tripped out. didn't hurt anyone or anything, but wigged out for real. so pee (b-i-l nickname) takes sir (dog's name) tothe vet. after looking at the dog's eyes, what does the vet ask? if the dog or any of the owners are on drugs!!! no chit...lol....well, he, nor any of the oweners, do drugs, so he does a blood test. seems the dog has a sugar problem of some sort. we'll know more tomorrow. but it just kinda made us all laugh a bit....."is your dog on drugs of any kind?" yeah, the lil dick has a $300 a day crack habit.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Speaking of old drivers, there are a lot where I live. A lot of them have migrated up north for the summer. while that was the inital prupose of the solo, it's not anymore. even kicker's dealer's book just lists it as their "premium" woofer. it's not an sq woofer, or even a sql woofer, but you can get it there. for what it is, it is not to be underestimated in the sq department. square vs round and physics..well, i'm not that intelligent. yet what i do know is this, i can care less what paper has to say about anything in the subwoofer world. while it's a basis, and nothing more, it's not going to tell you what will happen when the woofer meets the enclosure/car/power. and L5'and 7's don't have a built in distortion. any year model. in the proper install, they will run with just about any sub out there in the sq department. but it is indeed install dependant. we agree on the 18" war..lol...solo x vs xxx vs any other one that wants to show up...lol... and xbl^2 being dry is just that..it's lacking the musical distortion (or however you wnt to word it) that alot of people are accustomed too. but other toplogies, if built right, do the exact same thing. yet, they aren't described as dry. the rl-s for instance. i couldn't get a lick of distortion outa it, yet it was very pleasing to the ear. the rl-p more than hang with the xxx, wasn't quite as loud, but dropped a bunch lower. i guess what i'm trying to say is, what we all know, is that sq is subjective. what sounds good to me may not sound good to you. and regardless of brand, regardless of topology, the sub still depends on it's install. 85% install, 10% product, 5% beer...the greatest formula on earth! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the amp will mount onthe bottom with the bottom firing subs and ports. the box will be used as a seat as well as an enclosure in a 2006 dakota xcab. enjoy. the braces...gotta have braces if ya gonna sit on it... here ya can see the port and mounting hole. some of the material in this pic is destined for the router... material removed. teh center section between the subs is where the pr500d will be mounted. another look at the port, mounting hole and foot. and yep, the extended port wall was factored into the tuning. the box is tuned to 38hz how it will sit in the dakota. and while it's 1/2inch mdf ( we had height, depth and width limits) it's strong enough for me to jump on it..lol...gotta test it someway!! anyay..2.5ft^3 net, tuned to 38hz....should rock!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

comeon scott..lighten up. in one thread he asked about brand differences, here he's asking what to use to power a specific sub. so to answer your question, simply, you'll want at least 1000wrms PER sub. most would suggest 1500wrms PER sub. so you'll need between 3 and 5kwrms to power the supremes. minimum. hope that helps. specific brands.....ma audio, memphis hifonics all have 4kw rms amps off the top of my head. kicker, memphis, us and a few others have 2.5kwrms amps available that can be strapped. look into those. and a alternator with an extra battery or three. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i dunno..lol... what memphis amp is compareable? and nate... maybe powerbass does, i dunno. i honestly didn't know memphis wasn't anything more then just memphis. i will say this, i have yet to see a memphis amp not do what it's supposed to do. i know of a 4000d running at .5ohm daily, several 1500d's running at 1 ohm and even a 1000d running at .5 ohm. it's the only one to pop a fuse or two and that's because the car it's in can't keep up the voltage and the owner refuses to do anything about it. i know of one competitior who is unhappy with his 4000d's. while they do their power, they have blown up on him randomly. he thinks it is in the amps, while everyone else thinks it's him. i mean it's one of his old amps that is running at .5 daily. IMO, a person wouldn't be hurt by running either the US or memphis products. both are quality. and i know this about memphis, if you can blow it, they'll replace it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
