anything special with the aero's? i have never used them before, anything in particular i should know about the instalation of them? Also, are we talking 2 4" full length? thanks for all the replies guys i really appreciate the help! aeros are more efficient then a slot port, only you can go way bigger with a slot. aeros also take up less room, so you have more box(internal volume) per outside dimensions then slot ports. and nothing special about installing them. cut out the hole, slide the bell in and screw it down. (if you bell both sides, you'll have to install the internally bell after you screw down the outside one) and you won't use all the tube, unless the math tells you to. and my 12 i offered ya will live under those conditions you described. i gave it 25oowrms for awhile in 2.5 @ 28. didi just fine. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

SSA & CYV meet for Illinois
mrray13 replied to Patrick Simmons's topic in News, Announcements, and Lobby
indy is 4 hours from me here in anna, which is 6 hours south of chicago. a central location would be berries, like mcleansboro, though that's not all that central for pat. but there is a cool ass festival on the 6th of sept in mcleansboro, not a tournament as i thought. maybe meet further north, like effingham? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
not feeling it I am. Pretty tight. i've got to go change my pants now. thanks captain. that is one mean and nasty looking sumbitch right there. damn, she's sexy. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i'll vote enclosure as well. and i don't think you need a different sub, i loved my solo x daily. IMO, build the 2.25ft^3 NET box, tune 35hz, use two 4" aero ports and fire into the back wall again. make sure that back wall is deadened, lol, and i'll wager your problem goes away. but don't give up that sub just yet. and if you still want to give it up, i have a la audio x2 12 i'll trade ya. pretty close to the eclipse Ti 12, similiar power handling and output. loves power. put it in the same box i recommened above and live in bliss. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i need to check, but sept 6 might be the 5 state tournament...which would be cool to toss in as well. time and place for meet up? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
yep, in less then an hour, i will be signed in, weighed and hopefully ready to "GET IT ON!" since i started class, i've dropped 10pds (down around 232-235, from 245), cardio has greatly improved as well as flexability. that last one is the best feeling, though i like how all my pants are too big too! anyway, wish me luck. i wonder how this old body is going to take the beating, lol. pics up afterwards! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lemons! i wouldn't accept those amps back, period. i would demand new amps or a refund. what you are going through is stupid, adn needs to be resolved. they are taking advantage of your patience, and i'll wager that these amps will cause you problems even after they "fix" them. i wouldn't take no for an answer. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

sketchup is about it..but like matt side, it's a CAD like program 5/8 will work, brace it and you'll be fine. glue and brad it together, stay away from the edges, and it will last a long while. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yeah, started up fine and sounded good, but who knows...those SOHC fours seem to be bulletproof but I wouldn't trust it if it's sat outside for that long. I don't feel like doing a total gasket replacement just yet lol, i understand about that. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

jim, i just popped unto the local craigslist.... 83 nighthawk $600 i had an 85 version and it's still one of my favorite bikes of all time. 81 yamaha xs850 $1250 72 bmw r75 w sidecar $5100 i know that beemer is out of your price range, but i couldn't help it. there were a few without pics, but i didn't bother posting those. that nighthawk would make a great first scoot. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

So offer $800. It's a buyer's market right now. My first offer was $1000 I have a feeling Kent was right and I won't be finding something until December or so... keep looking, one will pop up. with what you just posted, i would guess that the bike has sat outside with no protection it's whole life. that would explain the faded instruments, the seat replacement and the rust with just 4500 miles on it. did you hear it run? otherwise, sounds like you made a good decision to walk. but don't sweat it, one will pop up when you least expect it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the Ti is easy to find, like the pair of 12s i have sitting here, blown, doing nothing. also, the lightning audio x2 series is a bolt on tc motor, i believe it too is the 3hp. i have a working one of those for sale. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well, what is it?? and captain, you did, technically, say something by saying you had nothing to say. i think. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

craigshelper.com is your friend. *just starting to try and catch up I found something since I posted that, but thanks - I'll be looking for parts in the coming months as the previous owner made some modifications that I want to bring back to stock Pictures this weekend yay!! jim bought a scoot!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the deadner wasn't in when the vid was shot, eh? should've said that in the first place, lol. then we wouldn't have gone back and forth. i was assuming you meant the dynamat was in the truck at the time of the vid, hence my comments. otherwise, i'll agree, it can't be completely stopped, but i'll wager it sounds nothing like that video. and the s18x was loud, very loud. i just didn't have the electrical to keep up with the amp. but it still embrassed many, many people. and the foam helps. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
not trying to be an ass, but i call bs. if you already have dyna mat on there, then it's junk, lol. add another layer. it can be stopped. don't forget a little expanding foam in the "T" brace if nothing else. there's a vid of my truck and the s18x, and you can't hear rattles. not like in yours. so something is amiss. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
