I have some monster MBQ QSD crossovers if you want them pm me some details...i don't have xovers for my rmb8's..and the ss's are only two way... of course my h/u is setup for an active 3 way, 2 way or a few other options..but i dunno if i wanna go active when passive is so much easier..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I think I took pictures of them during one of the SWVA meets, I would like to keep them but I have nothing to put them in but they would be hard to replace then keep them, lol.... i'll just use my h/u...i kinda wanna play around with it anyway...see what all those damn features are about... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nice work bro!! hmmm, why no roundover on port edges? and eldo is right j...don't paint the port black...looks weird after the box is finished...when the outside is carpeted or whatever and you look into the port (and who doesn't wanna look into a hole??) and see bare mdf...looks unprofessional and unfinished.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

IME, the w7 doesn't like the jl recommended boxes..lol..we've taken two outa the recommended boxes, added about .75ft^3 with about 1.5 times the port area and they come alive. i don't think the w7 has a distorted sound too it either..but it is "airy" or whoshy like eldo said. at least in jl recommended boxes, go bigger and they sound good. teh mag on the other hand..well..even in smaller boxes sounds great. and being backed by someone like nick is just an added plus. they are a whole lot easier to install too..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

pull your speakers again.. set your dmm to read resistance,,,put one lead on the pos side of your speaker and the other to ground...is there continuity? if so, there is your short...if not, disconnect your speakers...and check the voice coils. if they are reading stragne, there is your problem.....if not...on to the h/u. if the wires touched, you might have messed up the outputs side of your h/u... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
