street a is about to get harder as well..lol...and it's no horn enclosure. hehe.. and if all goes well, i'll be in street b next year....muhahahhahaha wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

basicly what you are sescribing is a sloped baffle sealed box correct? with the sub mounted on the slope. almost prefab in basic design. my question is this, how does that make for a horn loaded design? and how does it make it efficient? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and with that... i'm... *poof* wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

My bro-in-law welds stainless for a living, which makes me really want to open up an outdoor kitchen consulting/installation company. i've welded on just about every metal you can think of, with just about every kind of weld you can name..lol...SS is awesome to weld on though. it's soft, but it lays sweet.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

but i dunno if i want to get back into the flashburns, the slag burn, the coming home filthy, even if it is good money.... and besides, i enjoy doing the car audio thing..but where i work is one seriously disorganized zoo.... we literally put the high end jobs on hold repeatly to do the little ones...and then get bitched at for not being done on time......he doesn't understand that when you start and stop a job, you lose more then just the time on the second job. he never figures that shit in...oh well.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i've got to get around... might be changing jobs, getting back into the welding/fabrication field. i have an interview/weld test if i want to go today.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Don't short change yourself my brother . Your a venerable wealth of knowledge. And I enjoy talking with you lol..i wish! i do enjoy the talking with you and learning off of you, which i have done for 4 years now. alot of the knowledge i have comes from people like yourself. nah, your a whole other league brother.. but i thank you anyway! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i jsut replied..but hell, i dunno half of what ramos knows... i like to toss in my opinion and see if anyone agrees..lol.. sq has lost it's true meaning in much of the competitive organizations. liek stated before, it's more about the install quality, the wow factor, then it is about the actual sq of the vehicle. staging only means squat if it's in a custom fg dash pod steering wheel articulated seat setup... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

that guy is a genius.... lol.... whoops...way late... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

brother, i wish i was there to help..that's the shit that i'm made for..lol... but for someone like yourself, i still don't imagine it will be too difficult.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i'd do the matching us amps, just because they match. i mean, zapco is the shit, but usamps is right at their heels. you won't be disappointed, that's for sure. another headunit to consider, the sony 805..great little headunit with a multiude of controls and can be had for about $350. if you have to have a screen, and i mean this, look into the jensen 6xx something. we special ordered one for a guy, and i gotta say, for the money, it's one helluva a screen. it comes with a tv tuner, antenna, it's a dvd player, ipod plug included, can control two other screens and various other goodies. also has a decent preout voltage, which is where most screens lack. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

james says he knows people are getting good scores outa the 6500's, but doesn't know of anyone running the 10k. basicly what he's said is it's a good amp, but he dunno if it would be good for a daily driver as it's efficiency might not be great. i guess if your electrical system is up to par, it would work pretty good, but without that, your throwing away money as you won't be able to use it to it's full potential. i'd say it's a good buy for 1k and the potential to produce 8kwrms....better then anything going that i know of...fo rthe money. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
i have nothing to say... except good morning, and i'm outa here for work... i need to post pics of the h1, the lincoln, the highlander and the supra... yeah, lol, work's been crazy.... laters fine people of ssa!! *poof* wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

What box do you have your D2 RL-p in? I have a D2 RL-p 12" and it left me craving for more, so now I might be changing my setup to two 10"s rockford T2s, I already have 1 of them and I'm sure if i get another it would out do the RL-p SPL wise. Or i can get antoerh RL-p but the thing about that is, it'll be running at .5ohms and they'll be in sealed instead of ported because i don't got the room. But either way, maybe i'm not getting the juice i suppose to be getting from the amp, because of my car's electrical conditions, All my lights dimm when I crank it up. last ported box was 2.5ft^3 at 28hz....but i honestly prefered the 2ft^3 at 34hz box.... if you have the orion 2500d, it should handle the .5ohm load easily..but if yoru electrical system is weak, that could pose a problem. i don't like the t2's..fart machines. the pair i've heard really sounded like ass. i know box is playing a role in this, but they were sluggish and it's a smaller box. lastly, the rl-ps aren't a spl oriented driver, but they do get loud. if one 12" in a ported box isn't enough, grab a second one, or try a 15" version... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ok..tc2k=rl-p..i gotta remember that..lol... as to which to get? the rl-p and tc2k will be a coinflip..as mentioned...all but the same sub. and the rl-p is cheaper and backed by one awesome dude. (who in turn is backed by tc themselves..lol) has to what the rl-p performs best in..well, i'm here to tell you it'll perform in just about whatever you put it in, sealed or ported. i've ran my 12" rl-p in as little as 1ft^3 sealed and as big as 2.5ft^3 ported. it's impressive in all of those. period. i don't care what people say it graphs like, or what their program says it'll perform best in. i know from experience this sub will rock in just about any enclosure. other then the rl-s, it's the absolute best sql woofer i have ever heard/owned and that list includes the vaunted xxx and the si mag (which is indeed an awesome sub in it's own right!!) IMO, after reading what your after, put the rl-p in 1.25ft^3 sealed, this thing loves that enclosure for a great blend of loud and low, with excellent response. throw about 750wrms at it...she'll sing!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lmao..you and me both brother.... i mean..if it will really do the 10k and only cost $1500??? that would have to be the buy of the freakin year....shit, i will pay that much for the zx2500.1 i want... i will let you know this evening though.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -

wonder where in the hell kevin is?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
heard a story about the xb's... seems the people who designed it were so infatuatied with the schevy astro van, the xb was designed to look as close to it as they could.... too bad they aren't as loud......well, then again, i didn't see an xb with a wall... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
there was one xb there that had a sticker that read "hummer escape pod" that was pretty funny.... otherwise, it was a waste of three hours.....save the drinking afterwards... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

we did a scion show yesterday..lol...loudest scion? did a 142.xxx outlaw on the tl.... loudest vehicle there? scott's escalade..145.6 on music..legal...of course, this will change soon...muhahahahaha i think my scoot, the highlander, the 'lade and the H1 got more attention the the scions..... that is why there are no pics..the show wasn't worth the effort.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
well, i know the rl-s i tested off my orion 2500d did a 136.6 legal...@ 34hz...and at ~4ohm.... that's the problem, it's matching impedence to the amp. so unless the rl-s coil configuration has changed, you can get more power outa that amp with the pair of rl-p's, and more then likely, similiar performance....i need to meter my d2 rl-p and see if it's close the the rl-s in numbers..same box, amp, power..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
the rl-p is indeed proven, and a reliable, sturdy, peformer in a sealed enviroment. also, the tc2k will be a similiar performer as it's a little brother of the rl-p (the tc3k being just about the same,IIRC) i know little about the OZ, but if their componets are any indication, it will indeed be a good choice. with the toss in of the rl-p being the better bang for the buck player, i'd say it's a winner here. and don't forget mike, who backs SS unlike anyone i've ever seen. (not that kyle does abad job at tc, lol....) another noteworthy player is the si mag...and nick is a helluva guy as well.....but again, it's pricepoint is a little more then the rl-p, but very compareable performance... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
