yeah, i was certified on two seperate occasions.. each certification is different. there is certification for flat, overhead, vertical up and down, carbon, stainless, aluminum, TIG, MIG and arc. so what you weld will depend on the certification yoru trying to achieve. quick example, a 1G certification is a flat weld on carbon steel. it involves a drag root, and however many passes required after that to fill the channel, try to stay with as few passes as possible. . after which, it is cut into three pieces. the pieces are then put into a press and bent on the face and the root. clean break and your ok. no break and your berries. break and there is pinholes, you fail. i'd ask what he wants you to certify in, it can be researched online to give you an idea of what your going to need to do. thanks about the rant. and good luck with the welding...i might be going back to that here soon. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ee

i'll narrow it like this... best budget sub on the market, memphis pr. 15" for $100, 12" for $85 and 10" for $70, and we warranty them for 4 years. nothing IME has beat them yet dollar for dollar. the only other memphis sub i would own again is the mojo. the rest are over priced for what you get. yes, the m3s are decent subs, if you can get a good enough deal on them. but there are better drivers out there in that price point. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

kicker squares lack sq? i so love that statement. truth is, it all depends on install. put a square in a smaller sealed box and then tell me it doesn't have sq. they absolutely rock in small sealed boxes. they get stupid loud in ported boxes, but due tend to get a bit muddy. as to solo xs. they are absolute monsters. gobble up power, respond well to just about any ported box and look cool too. i loved my s18x. loud, responsive and fairly freaking clean, considering what it is. the solo x is the ultimate mainstreme monster. big, heavy, power hungry and best of all, gives as much as it takes. i can't wait to hear the dodge ram outside when it finally gets it's pair of s12xs off the t3000d. nasty. and we have had very few issues with any kicker square sub. and the issues we have had all involve customer abuse. our memphis stuff fails at a 3:1 rate, amps, subs or otherwise. and kicker has proven themselves to be some of the best supporters to competitors in the business. and to dealers. they provide a quality product at a reasonable cost. i do agree about one thing with tej though. people who don't like kicker typically don't like them because they are mainstreme. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
