One of the official first PRODUCTION 15" Mag Revie
req replied to ollie's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
i wanna hear so manny of these new woofs this one sounds like its simply incredible. -
i installed a pair in my friends intrepid in like 2.5 cubes @ 33hz and they get pretty loud and sound alright. nothing great, but for a DD for regular people, the cost\performance in the right box is great. and power from a profile AP1000

that is f*cking sexy. at first i was like - sweet the old claw, then i was like - look at the ass on that sucker. then i was like, all sticky and i realized it was a mag-squared.
-
i wish i had the power to put one of these suckers in my house. maybe ill run really long wires out the wnidow and watch a movie to test the LFE capabilities... LOL.
-
mike mike mike. fly me to CA and ill glass a pair of the lmt's in that dinky toyota! and then i can go home with one or two? do you think they will worry if i lug a 50lb monster onto the plane and sit with it, they might think its a bomb

Rainbows or DIY Front Stage to go with Rl-p for SQ
req replied to ///M5's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
me? if i didnt have horns and dedicaed mids in doorpods? id go with the oogly set. they are supposed to be nice drivers to begin with, and with a proper crossover (active or one BUILT for them) they should be pretty sweet. ive not heard raimbows, but i have heard a setup similar to the DIY set (lower end drivers of dayton with active crossovers though), the CDT CL series, type r's, image dynamics CD2's, image dynamics CD1-e's, alphasonic somthing or other (eew), and other stuff i cant name off the top of my head. only whats been at local shows and stuff. ive not been on the scene long, but my CD2's and the CD1-E's sounded the nicest. any sort of high - they are so smooth i was blown away. the only downside is they can be a pain to install, and need active crossovers, and love EQ's (rta would be for the best) - and a dedicated midbass. for me, id take the oogly set, again, just to be different, and they do have much potential. but i would fabricate new kicks and mount the tweeter somewhere else most likely. good luck with your choice my friend. -
i think i might be able to aquire 2kw~4kw to "borrow" if im on the demo ring. we will see.
-
freakin awesome mike. you got mail. wow. finally
-
mike, you can donate one to me i dunno. id like to participate in the demo, but ATM i only have 400w to put on that sucker. and id have to build a box to fit in my saturn. lol.

-
lol steve. i wouldnt fight him... his super mullet might eat me lol, cause there are so many gay people there, they cant fit them all on the computer
-
i got a pair sealed, maybe 1.5 to both, and they sound pretty good with 125ish watts each. id like to test them ported though, that would be cool. but i dont wanna ruin the glass boxes
-
crop out them jaws next time oh yea. nice wire could you hold some 1ott and that 3conductor in each hand and get a shot of that? might be a better comparison.
-
very cool. pic of the logo cone? id love one, but its out of my price range :
-
actually. listen to it, because if you are the right difference, and "technically" the sub is wired in phaste (ie +\- on the +\-), the wavelength could be hitting you at the negative peak when the rest of the speakers are hitting you at the posative peak, messing with everything. play around with it. whatever you think sounds better, keep it that way. listen to alot of music to determine this.
-
awesome squeak. i wish i spent that much on deadening and mass loading.
