Fourth Gen Camaro Firewall
Dutchie. posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Hey, we are trying to pull a run of 4 gauge wire through the firewall of a 4th gen Camaro. Are there any known hole in the firewall that this wire could fit through or any good places to make one before we go drilling around. -

Only one rca out for the sub amp?
Dutchie. posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
My friend and I are installing this head unit: Dual XDVD8183 All In-Dash Car Stereo Receivers Car Stereo Receivers and Head Units Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix and there is only one output for the subwoofer amp. So instead of a red and white one there is only a blue one for the subwoofer out. There are two normal ones for the front and rear, so could we just use the rear outputs? Also there is a single center output, could you use this along with the single subwoofer out? I can take pictures if needed. -
Electrical to back the 15's
Dutchie. posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I am getting 15's very soon. Two aq hdc3's off of a 2200d. My electrical now is a 200amp alt, 1/0 big three, and yellow top under the hood. All this is on a diesel engine, that of course runs at lower rpms than a traditional gas engine. I have the smallest pulley I can put on the alternator already installed, and am scared the voltage may not be enough to back this system. Would another battery be needed? If so which one, and for the best price? By the way, this is a daily setup. -

Haha and the pocket to pay for it. I need my money. I'll just get what's needed. No more, and certainly no less. -

Word, thanks. And I'll only need 45ah because the optima covers 55. -

I was looking at the XS batteries because of what shizzon was saying, but I couldn't find prices on any of the batteries. -
People do say that the SSA Xcon is designed exactly for this, but I do not have any personal experience with it.

Electrical to back the 15's

So I'll need a battery with at least 100ah, which the yellow top SHOULD cover. I want to be completely sure about this though. EDIT: Great video by the way. Thank you. -
I'm on the search for an affordable amp that will do rated power. Looking for 2000w @ 1ohm. It will be pushing hopefully a pair of Icon 15's or z15's. Electrical: 200amp h.o Alternator Optima yellow under the hood 1/0 Big three. Also on the search for a decent battery to add to the back if need be.

Affordable 2000w amp?
Dutchie. replied to Dutchie.'s topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I might just go with the 2000D because of the crazy sale. Affordable being within 500 dollar range. Sorry I left that out. -
That thing looks like a monster. Very nice.

To the Pepsi Machine in the hall. Just like spending 2.50 at the lobby when the machine is 1 dollar this question makes no sense. Your doin the math wrong. They paid 30 total. 5 change is coming back so they actually paid 8.33 a piece. As such thats 25 bucks (one paid 8.34). The other dollar never dissapeared. 10x3=30 30-2=28 (2 the bell hop stole) 28-3=25 (the 3 dollar refund) So it all adds up. 28 Yeah I just redid the math. This little riddle was pretty good.
-
Well 25 + 3 = 28, and 28 + 2 = 30 But 9 x 3 = 27, and 27 + 2 = 29 This is driving me crazy. Man, I took it. EDIT: My guess is he gave it to them. EDIT x2: Ok so i figured it out. In fact the owed $8.33 each because if he overcharged them by $5, 25/3 = 8.33. So technically he is still overcharging them.

I'm Having A Really Hard Time Deciding
Dutchie. replied to Dutchie.'s topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I think I may go along with two z15s and a 2000d. -
Ok, so I already have two 12" Alpine Type R's. I am deciding that it is about time to finally upgrade the sound system. These are the three plans I am coming up with: 1) Buy two more Type R's and another amp, and run four twelves. 2) Sell the R's and the amp and buy two more powerful 12's and a new amp. 3) Sell the R's and the amp and buy two 15's and a new amp. This is all in a 1993 Range Rover LWB.
