Do i need to replace my HU
johnecon2001 replied to jdawg90's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You'll never see 4v until you hit the loudest the head unit will go. And by then, you'll be clipping the balls off out of the amplifier. -
Damnit. This is what I don't need. More excuses to spend money.

It's vague.. Highschool + spell checker ftw.

The DDz MSRP is around $3800. And honestly.. if you don't even know the price of it.. it's not the sub you should be looking into. It doesn't sound like you know quite what you're doing with the SPL scene yet. I'd suggest the KISS principle here. Find an 15" or an 18" woofer that can handle 1000-2000 watts. Build a box ported to 37hz and go nuts. Mach 5 Audio has an SPL line, The Fi BL with the Flatwind and cooling options, the Incriminator Death Penalty, and the DC Sound Lab Level 4 would all suit your needs.

Z series is pretty expensive.. Budget? Space? Power?

I swear we just discussed this. Oh yeah, we did. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...c=16427&hl=

Where is the 40.1 on the product page?
-
Is it just me.. or do all the lines look the same? e: LOL you used the same table so that threw me off.
-
How will it not fit? Optima has the same sizes for all regular batteries. There should be a direct replacement for your stocker.
-
What I thought was funny was that they tried to get the second woofer to blow mechanically.. but they tarded it up and managed to blow it thermally. And then they had to come up with a suitable reason why lol. "well, it's really hard to blow this type of speaker" what type is that exactly? Round?

Which sub did you wire out of phase for that? The one in the middle?
-
Tanks fer watchin der..

eh 1/4 or 3/8'ths should be fine.

All thread comes in any where from 3ft to 6ft pieces and sometimes longer. That's what I use for bracing on large surface area boxes if the port can't do the job.

It also removes road noise. What do you want to hear when you're listening to your music? I personally just want to hear my music and nothing else.

Which electrical component to upgrade next?
johnecon2001 replied to fuzzyping's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah, that would be an ideal situation. -
Most of the new 07+ Nissans have a similar problem.

Which electrical component to upgrade next?

I'd do what Jim suggested. Start with a run of 1/0awg. I don't know what part of you was ok with running a 1500w amp off of 8awg.. but that's just a no no. No wonder it toasted itself. Buy a spool of 1/0awg, do your main run with it and split 4awg to each amp. Complete the Big 3 if you have 1/0awg left over. -
You're not trying to sell this are you? Because we have specific rules about selling out side of the For Sale forum..
