If you need a smaller format midbass, look at the Legatia L6.

ideas on making alt post longer
johnecon2001 replied to jonbearsmt's topic in Automotive and Performance
Get a threaded barrel. Add a piece of thread rod on the other end. -

need some help-alternator quest
johnecon2001 replied to truckaudioman's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Stinger sounds expensive for not a whole lot of amperage. There are plenty of alternator manufacturers that build for Ford. You should look at something in the area of 280a-350a. -
This is the only budget 3kW amp I recommend. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=18538 As far as the rest of your setup goes... I anticipate you either coming back here asking why your amp burned up OR asking where you can get a Death Penalty 21" recone.

Establishing a good Ground...
johnecon2001 replied to SynCity's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Sounds like the ground is undersized and you have a poor connection there. Your ground wire should be the same size, if not bigger than your power wire. -
What would you need the t/s parameters for? Use the recommended box sizes that Fi gives you, here

Looks far better colored imo.

You'll need to email the Sales team for a shipping quote. [email protected]

Take an exhaust clip! What did you end up going with?

Oh snap. This is amazing news.

That amp compared to the Sundown would indeed be a waste. Two Q's sealed will be just fine in a prefabricated box on that power. If you are set on just purchasing a box rather than building it yourself (very easy for sealed), then make sure the one you buy is made out of 3/4" MDF and has sealed joints.

Lets move it then instead of locking.. Keep the personal attacks to a minimum guys, or this will get locked again.

Interesting placement of the drivers..

My version of an SQ / music boxx
johnecon2001 replied to Lord Baccus's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Rounding the corners of the port could help with the turbulence.. making the port slightly bigger would also help though. -
Either buy through them, or Parts Express. or hay, click the dealers link http://www.audiopulse.com/locate-a-dealer/united-states/

It does, if you want to use passively crossed speakers, for this application however, it won't work... well, it will, but he'll have to use the amp crossovers. Nothing wrong with wanting to sound better. And tbh, there is no passive comp set that will be better than running active. At least.. without spending $1k on a set of Dynaudio 360's.

What do you think about removing the back seats?
-
Right here sir, http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...products_id=823 Also, if you want to indeed use your head unit as a crossover, you'll need the DEQ-P8000. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Pro...DEQ-P8000?tab=A

We need your budget and maximum enclosure size. As well as your listening preferences, and what you don't like exactly about the single 12" BL.
-
What are your front speakers able to play down to?
-
Louder and sealed aren't things that generally go hand in hand. Why not select one driver, and port it. For instance, the Fi Q or the SSA ICON.
-
You may as well make those adapter mounts yourself, out of MDF. You'll have to use the Head unit's HPF to help with the crossover duties along with the 100.4's onboard ones. Unless you decide you want to use an external crossover. Or if you want to get a head unit capable of 2-way. And after you decide that, what's your budget?
