You can do all of what he wants with some simple delay. You'll have to measure the response when you do this though, so you don't send the drivers our of phase.

Ok, now normally, I would agree with you about this, but notice that my sub is single 8 ohm. It's not giving it enough power. The ONLY way I could make it any louder is to provide more power, which at this point in time is not going to happen. That bandpass it's in is very, VERY peaky (far more than a standard ported enclosure would be) in the 40-60hz range, but for as low power as I have to offer, it's exactly what I would want, to get as much output as possible out of the power I have available. The thing is, it's not enough now that the fronts are again working (I put the PB's in because the factory 5x7's were not working, and a convertible with only rear speakers is an exercise in futility). It's working as hard as it can, and it's not keeping up, per se. The only way I can get a reasonable amount of bass out of it is to use bass boost, and I do not want to use that and create clipping and kill it. I'm underpowering the sub by about 100 watts RMS and I'd rather keep the little amount I have currently versus having nothing below 100 hz. Hopefully you can see my point in asking about the LI. I do appreciate your suggestion though. I'm sure the ported enclosure would sound a hell of a lot better than the bandpass does. It's just, short of tuning it high, it's not going to offer any extra output. Outside of the passband of the bandpass, particularly below 40 hz, it'd be a lot louder, I'm sure, but otherwise, I don't think it would be any louder, at least to ear. Kef There was a guy who took al sorts of records with a little over 150w and 4 8" woofers. So your argument that you don't have enough power is irrelevant. Your box is the first problem you should work to overcome. Then start upgrading your gear from there.

Before you go and buy anymore equipment, I'd rebuild your current box to a simple ported enclosure.

That's retarded. You give us all a bad name.

icon 15: ported or sealed enclosure?
johnecon2001 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Way too big for a sealed box. Drop a 6" round port into it at 14.10" long. Tunes you to 33hz. -
Its the same amp...

Speakers and amps under a truck? lol.

Looks like you've got some large openings in the door shell, you should try and stick some deadener on your outside door skin as well. and then seal up those holes.

You're comparing apples to oranges. And you can't just say "compare this!". Doesn't work that way.

Team SSA BBQ @ marks house AZ, FRIDAY 4/24

I'll be there. -
Jesus, some of you people have the reading comprehension of a 6 year old.

You can use thread rod for bracing. It'll take up the least amount of internal volume.

A few Videos of what Incriminator is really capable of
johnecon2001 replied to iamamp3pimp's topic in Incriminator Audio
That looks impressively loud. -
For a final two ohm load, you can wire them like that ^. Or you can wire each sub to its own terminal. It'll end up at the same ohm load.

I believe dB-r is the authorized repair house for Incriminator.

2 kicker l7 12s or 4 polk audio momo 15s
johnecon2001 replied to MarcusFranz's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
No one can properly answer these types of questions due to all the variables involved. If anyone says they can, be assured they're just guessing/speculating. -
Clean install. Looks great.

That may be fine and dandy for some sites, but here, you will be literate.

Amp help
johnecon2001 replied to speckdzl4shzl's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
SSD's come in DVC 1 and DVC 2. There is not 4 ohm option. -
Hard to tell. Especially without direct links.. perhaps try editing them in.
-
Well, you didn't specify.. So I put something together that most people would like. The 12" would be a viable option like Adrian recommended too.

You're tuning a bit high for where the Q is supposed to thrive at.

15" SSA ICON Sundown SAE-1200D OR if you can find a used SAZ-1500D. That puts you around $650. Now just skim through Pioneer's site to get an idea of a Head Unit you like and add that. And you're set.
