  1. I doubt very that its the exact same board as the 1500D.

    Larger amplifers?

    Dual .7 ohm coils
  3. While I haven't spent any time looking for info on their amps, I did see pictures of the 3250.1d It looks decently full of components inside, no word on if it does rated power+ or - . RD as a whole get a mixed response from me. Their owner is a bit childish. And that reflects badly upon a company that may have great products. You can read more about RD here.
  4. Could be lots of things, I would guess a shorted trace on the power supply though.
  5. No, you cannot. head unit amplifiers are not engineered to be bridged.

    Larger amplifers?

Honestly though, with the 3000D coming close to putting out 8kw all by itself under the right circumstances.. why does he need to build a bigger amp??
  7. Does the sound go away if you unplug the RCAs from the sub amp? If it does.. trace the source backwards.

    12" Icon brief review

Good to see the box bolted down properly!

So we finally bought an Eco friendly car

I bet he smells his own farts now too.

    Alt question

    Ohio Generator FTW
  11. How will that tell us anything? If the amp makes the noise with the RCA's unplugged, what will putting a filter on the RCA's do for him? I'd guess NOTHING.

    Recone for SSA Icon

one post.. one. will get your point across. Two.. is considered annoying.

    Recone for SSA Icon

How did you manage to blow up an ICON already? And why not just ask Mark for a recone?
  14. if it still makes noise with the car off, then it's not turning off completely.

    wiring questions

so thaat would be the right wiring even though its says its getting a 2 ohm load in the picture? Correct, the wiring is correct the picture is wrong.

    Sub decision once again

I was gonna ask, why you didn't have an ICON in that list.
  17. Why not just sell the 180 and buy a bigger one altogether? Would save you a lot of trouble
  18. Is your amp not turning off with the remote lead?

    wiring questions

Sorry, what I said before is not correct. I didn't realize you had two subs. You need the Dual 1 ohm coils. Wire each sub in series (negative to positive) and then wire the two subs together in parallell. Wire just like that (just ignore the fact that they are DVC2 ohm coils, you need DVC1)

    Speaker Choice

I'm never one to buy things from a dealer, much less let them install it in my car. But if I had to choose between those setups, I would go with the JL/Alpine combo and hope that they don't bend you over and rape you on the price.

    Icon.........8's?

One dealer selling a large portion of 8" woofers still doesn't mean 8" drivers are popular.

    wiring questions

You need a DVC 2 ohm sub. Wire both of the positive leads of the voice coil to the positive leads on the amp. Same with the negatives.

    My setup

You gonna clean up the wiring? Only thing I would change is one of the power/ground cables to a different color to tell them apart.

    SSD vs. Icon

LOL. I don't think you'll have a problem hearing the difference of one 15" ICON over the CVR's. You could do the Sundown/ICON combo the shop is offering right now and save a little money.

    Icon.........8's?

I talked to Mark about it awhile back. He metioned that the motor was bigger than the basket would be. And also something about 8's not having a huge market share, so for a company just starting out with subwoofers, building an 8 would not be the best investment.
