Use a DMM to verify that the amp is getting power. Check all the fuses (both the powerline and the amp fuses). Check the voltage on the remote line (should be 12v). How did you set your gains?
-
You realize when you use better deadener.. you don't have to use as much right? Butyl is much more effective than asphalt.
-
You probably should cross the tweeter before you damage it with higher wattage. I second MDF as well. You don't have to use 3/4, you could use something thinner and then cover over it with a finishing board.

please help! i need a box design for mj 18's

Because that 9.3^3ft is before the port and woofers. Internal volume will go down considerably after he adds those two things. -
You can't compare them because like you said.. one puts out 2500w and one puts out 1500w. Why is that hard to understand?? They're in different power classes.
-
Those two amps don't even put out the same amount of power. You CANNOT compare them.

Looking for a good price on powerbass or massive audio

You should probably establish yourself on this forum before asking for favors. Go introduce yourself in the Newbie Sign in. -
You'll be no where close to 150dB with either of those setups. You need a double the power and a huge electrical backbone.
-
Wow pink.. Can't wait to see that lol I'll bet USAmps was happy when you ordered from them, now that they own RE and all.

It's "posse", noobs. I'm in.

You could do 2-15's ported to 32hz and be fine with the space you have. 2 18's... you'd have to go sealed. -
Looking to put 2 12s under the eat of my crew cab
johnecon2001 replied to Lifted03Silverado's topic in General Fi
That's a good point. You probably don't have much room under the seats, so going with and SD-1v2 is probably a good idea. Although, the Q's sealed don't need a whole lot of space either. -
What subs are you referring too? What size will each box be? Will your voltage stay at a constant 14.4? What altitude are you at? What is your cabs resonant frequency? Is your interior leather or carpet? What temperature will the outside air be? What temperature will the inside air be? Basically what I'm saying here is... there is no possible way to tell what will "hit harder". Pick one setup, and be happy. If you're not, save more money and get the other setup.
-
What type of budget are you looking at for a Professional Audio amp? You'll need at least 800w @ 4 ohms.
-
Ported to where? Your other option is to build a new box with a super low tuning (ala 25-28hz). When you go sealed, you give up output but the sound is much more accurate.
-
Should put some kind of end connector on them. Banana Plug, spade or something other.

Now installing D3

I like the deck quite a bit, it does have a great bit of function for a relatively low price. -
You'll run the risk of starving the amp of voltage below 12v. And at .5 ohms if the amp blows, you're not under warranty, so the repair will come out of your pocket.
-
If you want want to run 1kW to each driver, I would go with the 2x 10" ported. That should get pretty nasty for a couple of tens.
-
Your goal is to keep your voltage above 12v at all times. If you just run one 1500D @ .5 ohms, you'll need a 180-200a alternator along with a better than stock deep cycle or AGM battery up front.
-
There isn't an SSD forum dude.
-
Well if your name is any indication of how much money you want to spend.. I would just get the BL.
-
I doubt AAfanatic knows what he's talking about.. Did you try blowing the sub out with compressed air yet?
-
It's stable if you have a proper electrical backbone.

here's a bigger one lol
