BTL/American Bass Install Finished in a Tundra

To secure the batteries of course. Some sort of rubber mat would be better to dampen vibrations. -
Amp and Vents for EBS Mach 5 MJ-18 Home Theater Sub.

Depends on what surface the woofer is firing into. For solid floors, you shouldn't have to compensate at all. For carpet or rugs... its kind of hit or miss what to do. -
^ Same. Except insert Laptop for ipod.

Did you actually have a question about either of them? I fail to see what you need help with.

Hybrid-Audio guys: What Head unit and/or processor are you using?

I know someone interested in your H701 <--- Bastard. -
What is that place and where is it? I need to plan a robbery.

In the Hole do you mean? I would use T-nuts with a hex bolt

Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 12 or Fi BTL 15?

A 5^3ft box should be fine for the BTL. -
I'm sure someone does, but from my experience, even the companies that do won't recone a JL for you.

Plumbing strap! That thin metal strap that is riddled with holes. Also.. try to run all your wire in the same lines to give it a cleaner look. Instead of it running in all directions -
I don't know what you paid for the MTX's, but the price I found was decently hefty at $699. I'd look into the Incriminator Audio 20.1 (an extremely[/] underrated 1800w @ 1ohm) or the Sundown SAZ-1500D (again, underrated at 1500w @ 1ohm). If you email the store here on SSA, you can probably get one or the other for a decent price.
-
I DON'T KNOW BUT HAVE YOU TRIED EMAILING IRAGGI ALTERNATORS OR EXCESSIVE AMPERAGE YET? Helpful hint Caps lock is not required on the internet.
-
Sundown amps are pretty hard to beat for the performance/price. Do you have a budget in mind for just the sub amp? You'll need around 800w if you decide to go sealed with the Q.
-
You can either connect two wires to one terminal on the sub, or you can run them straight to the amp. Same deal.
-
heh, you can't run three amps to one sub. If the amps were strappable you could run 4 to one sub, but that is not an option to be considered lightly. For the price of the MTX, I could think of a few other amps that would do much better for you. On to your sub question. Did you have a budget at all? I assume your ultimate goal is for SPL. Two 18" BL's in 6^3ft each should do nicely in your truck if you can fit that.

Just promise us you won't wall the mini off Welcome to SSA!

The Honda head units are capable of using an optical port?? woah. -
"normal" is anywhere from 12v-14.4v Do you have another amp you can try to see if you get sound out of the sub? Or another speaker you can hook to the existing amp? Narrow down what could be wrong, it doesn't have to be a high powered amp or even a subwoofer that you swap in. Just something you know works that can test the other side of the equation.
-
Denim already gave you a wattage amount you need. Have at it brother, go find some amps that you think you can afford and get back to us.
-
This has come up a couple of times. Fi cannot do it (they only have 3" VC's). If JL doesn't have the parts for it anymore.. you've got a nice paper weight. They're the only ones who do it.
-
This thread is getting a little out of hand. I'd suggest you both stop arguing before Vacations from SSA are enforced.
-
I'd pass rather quickly on the 9.1. Have you seen the guts inside it? I lol'd at them.

Linux! After having three iPods stolen... I'll stick with CD's.

Typically a sealed box will have the ability to play lower than a ported box while giving up some of the loudness based off of the tuning frequency. But the fact that your ported box was already tuned so low, I doubt you'll give much up.
