BP power just enables you to run a tad more power to the Q. You don't need that for SQ.

You could only hook one channel up to the sub... Why not just sell it and get an amp that produces the power you need at 2 ohms?

Nick, it's one of their home theatre subs. About four feet tall, cylindrical wood tube, 18" in diameter. The sub was a 15" IIRC. The whole setup was passive, you had to externally amp it. Suggested power was between 300 and 800 watts.

Woah those were expensive when they came out in 2002/3. That driver was supposed to be awesome but Dan never released any real specs on the driver itself. Hopefully it's similar to the Tumult or the Brahma.. but I doubt it is.

Which amp are you planning on now? Hifonics makes a lot of crappy amps.. Have you thought about two 8's possibly? The Ascendant Audio line makes a bunch of great sounding subs.

On the power you don't have... The BL and the RL-p are the only ones I'd choose.. although for separate purposes. The BL for SPL and the RL-p for SQ. Single 12 for both choices.
