    Amp for Type R

He confessed to being a noob after my post. Giving people who want to help a little more information is not a crime and its why we have a new sticky being prepared. Common etiquette on the internet is to give as much information as possible. Chill.

    wiring 2 amps

Don't even bother with the capacitor. You're not even pulling 1000w out of that system. The gauges of wire is probably fine, although you may want to upgrade the sub amp to 4awg. For fuse, you need one 150a fuse at the battery. You should get a fused distro block for when you split the 4awg to 8awg. Fuse each 8awg line at 60a.

    Help me decide...

You're comparing a Pro audio speaker to a Car audio speaker. The differences are incomprehensible.

    Diving into home audio

The only thing I don't like about that one is lack of HDMI support. Argue all you want about how you have no devices that support it at this point... you will eventually since that's where the home theatre market is moving to. You'll want a receiver that upconverts all video to HDMI output and supports the HDMI v1.3 HDCP standard.

    Diving into home audio

Well you said yourself you want to be ready for something else down the road. So just be mindful of the volume now, as you'll need the power later. 120w+ is what you should be looking for.

    BTL emergency!!! =[

Wow, your settings sound jacked. Your HPF was at 120??? you shouldn't even have an HPF for subs. LPF should be at the most 80hz. Subsonic should be set one octave lower than your tuning frequency.

  20. Widescreen DVI ok? You can't really beat the performance of the Dell widescreens for the price and options.

    Time for a home gym

I can touch on a few things that work well for me at my gym although I'm not sure if they will apply to you (being older and all) First off, Elliptical machines kick my ass every time I'm on them.. so that must be good sign. They have me breathing hard and my heart rate up in the 150's whenever I get off. The down side to these is the ones in the gym are really nice. I looked them up once and they are well over $2k. I'll try to grab a few model numbers for you later today when I go. Secondly for cable machines.. I never noticed a great over all toning or mass builder from them, except for really specific areas. The movement on the cables and the pulleys make it so you're not actually pulling down say 40lb's. It's usually less. You can compensate, but either way its giving you a weird workout. I'm not sure what your goals are for your muscles. But a simple regime of crunches, situps, pullups, pushups and the like may do things for you that will make you sorry you spent money on the cable machine. The Hoist V6 looks ok, but you probably will want something with moveable outriggers where the handles are to let you mess with the angles rather than just sliding them up and down.
