I'm pretty excited for these man.
-
.26 is close enough. Figure maybe .02 more for that third slug. It's not going to be audibly different than the 2 slug BTL.

One 15" ICON would be great with the 1501D. I'd venture it'd also be louder than your 2 12's in a proper box as well.

Dual 1 or dual 2? Any other options on it?

I applied to work there. They are a very small company that buys surplus directly from the base they are even located on the base. They get prices that are in line with the equipment from other places. if you can get the same scope somewhere else for $500 you can be assured they will be somewhere near that. They will not go for very cheap. Good luck though. Z They're based out of Arizona actually. I've driven by their office. The parent company is in DC.

How did you set your gains on the amp?
-
Could try something from RF if you don't have the fundage for the Sundown. You might try emailing the SSA store though to see about a better price.
-
I'd guess wired out of phase. How much sound are you getting from it?
-
You can check the ohm load of each coil using the "ohms" setting. It should look something like this: Ω
-
I'm not sure what it can really do, but modifying the current box will be far cheaper than buying new gear. So you might as well start there.
-
How much space is in that current "box"? He's not getting a lot of output due to it being a sealed box vs a ported box. You might try and add a little polyfill to the current box and see what that does. You also might try building a to spec ported enclosure for the current sub. The amp he has is fine, it should match just fine with a BM as well. You might also hold out for the Sundown 8" subs. Supposedly they're right around the corner.
-
That's what the forum is for. I'm glad it was just a sealant issue rather than a bottoming out issue.
-
Three-way? Nice, you should go active now with the 9887. I see a Sundown SAX-100.4 and 100.2 in your future.
-
You still haven't answered any of the pertinent questions that need to be answered before anyone gives you a recommendation.
-
What ohm load are you going to be running on the amp? That has a lot to do with the amount of damage you may sustain by dropping the voltage.

I like the Titan in the pond. Yet further proof that Nissan's suck at wheeling. lol Good pics dude, keep posting them as you take them

If it's broken, I doubt you'll be able to turn it off. The car should still be under warranty being only two years old. Why not take it to the dealer? Moving to Automotive and Performance

"not so expensive" is not a budget. You should know better by now. What is your budget, what voice coils does the BTL have? Hopefully you got a DVC1 BTL. The optimal match at this point is the SAZ-3000D if you have the coin.

NEED SUGGESTIONS FOR EXTREME HIGHS AND MIDS SETUP
johnecon2001 replied to tankht56's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Depends on the flooring and how steep on an angle you'll be point them. While obviously not an optimal angle for them to be in, you'll still get a decent amount of sound out. It won't be pretty, but it'll be loud. -
You're over excurting the sub. Forcing the bottom of the cone down on the back plate.

It's a pinging sound? You might be clipping the amp and bottoming the BL out. Metal sounding? Could be the coil hitting the back plate.
-
of course it does. Wait... how'd you get a Chaos? Do you mean Havoc?
