Yeah no problem at all on the power.

How exactly will you achieve .25 ohms on a DVC 1 woofer? Do you mean per amp? Hopefully you've got the electrical backbone to support that. Also, what the redneck said about options is correct.

I applied to work there. They are a very small company that buys surplus directly from the base they are even located on the base. They get prices that are in line with the equipment from other places. if you can get the same scope somewhere else for $500 you can be assured they will be somewhere near that. They will not go for very cheap. Good luck though. Z They're based out of Arizona actually. I've driven by their office. The parent company is in DC. From the website http://www.govliquidation.com/help/details.html#q_55 Q: Where is GL property located? A: Government Liquidation surplus inventory is located at 150 different sites throughout the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and Puerto Rico. Most of our sites are located on or near military bases. For a complete listing of GL sites, please click on the Locations tab at the top of the page. I got this from there website no where does it say they are based out of Arizona. Yes the parent company is from washington but I do not see the post anymore that that other guy posted it must have been erased. Read : http://www.govliquidation.com/contact/

Not to mention Transmission and rear end gearing probably is a little better for a Trans Am vs your car. -
Probably clipping the amp and sending it a square wave.

I concur. -
I second the Gold Standard stuff. That's the best I've had so far except for Syntha6 (which doesn't have a ton of protein in it). Also, Smoothies ftw. Mix fruit in like Steve suggested. mmmmmm

Try a 70 series if you can fit it. It's an SUV muffler made for V8's. Although, something I've learned while shopping for my exhaust, is it always sounds different than you want it to. So go search youtube and other forums for sound clips, so you don't get stuck with something that sounds like ass. -
Sometimes the settings inbetween can sound better than hard left or hard right.

There were a ton of guys who used to run them on their civics when I was in that scene. Not daily guys either, track abuse was pretty common and good times were posted. No one ever mentioned how they felt about wear time though..

Awesome! I'm glad Mark got enough people to do this!

Wiring Help
johnecon2001 replied to vanquish's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Wire = wire in most cases. Weldingsupply.com can outfit you with 1/0awg. You'll also need an ANL fuse holder and 250A fuse. I wouldn't pay a shop to run wire. Its not hard. -
The gain knob is pretty self explanatory. I'm assuming you know how to set the gain on amps correctly. Next is the subsonic filter, used to keep your sub from playing below tuning and shitting itself. You'll want yours around 30hz. The LPF (Low Pass Filter) keeps your sub from playing too high into the midbass frequencies. I usually have to play around with this to get it to blend to my front stage. You'll need to do the same as every one has different tastes. You can leave the Bass Boost at zero. The phase knob changes polarity on the amplifier. Sometimes this can give you a better sound, sometimes it can worsen it. Another setting to play with to see what you like.

What sub? What box/tuning? What head unit? What front speakers? What Music?
