I enjoy a sort of music where I can *feel* it. But not the heart stopping bass that the SPL guys would take that comment to mean. I want something that will wash over me and feel good to my ears while bringing up new parts of the song to me and not having other annoying ticks and lapses in frequencies around me. That is "MY" SQ. That being said.. this is predominantly and SQ forum. It's been slowly moving towards SPL with the revelation of the ICON and the fact that it gets damn loud while sounding good. But since we were first and foremost SQ.. of course you're going to get all the SQ guys jumping on your threads.

Usually, adding fiberglass doesn't look stock at all. And you do need an active processor (or a deck that will do 3-way active + subwoofer).
-
All of what you'll need depends on if you own a measuring tape. You need to complete the Big 3. Then run two runs of 1/0awg from the front battery to the rear batteries (two fuses for each line - one front, one rear). Connect the rear batteries with Buss bars or short runs of 1/0awg. Connect the amps to the Rear batteries. I believe each 2500.1 has two power inputs.

I actually did a single CVR in an F150 extended cab. Sounded decent in my opinion. -

Another thought to consider is Music DVD's. I'm in the process of burning most of my FLAC to one right now. If you have a DVD player, than you can play this. 4.7GB in my IVA-W205 is nice...

I have an easy solution! turn the bass down. -
Well lets see.. Be a member of SSA... Check! Have at least 25 posts... Check! Looks like you're good to go. Only thing I don't like about the Nextels is the recent price jump to $196 for the 7". But the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

It won't kill you with only 400w. But it should sound decent.
-
I would rebuild the W0 box first to find out if you'll even like a ported setup.
-
If you want to keep things simple, you could sell the Excels and move up to the Nextels. They're a little better suited for a 2-way setup and can play higher.

Hey Steve, I normally embed them for you, it's pretty easy. Just take the code after the = sign (in this case the t4rMfGdzojY) then put youtube tags around it Like so. -
You're not taking into account wood thickness on top and bottom.

One on each positive termination and you can run power from either the front battery or the alternator -
SSA ICON, Sound Splinter RL-p, Stereo Integrity Magnum (last gen), Ascendant Audio Havoc, Mach 5 Audio IXL 15.2.2 Should I continue?
-
SSA Icon 10" would fit fine in that space and crush you with 1200w

Someday, I swear... I will mug you for one of your boxes.

Hifonics amps?

Don't get it? -
There's really no way to keep the voltage stable without some serious dough. Even competitors with sponsors suffer from voltage drop. You can try a 16v system, but the cost of that will far exceed your current gear. Plus you'll need to either run dual alts (one 16v for the system, one 14.4v for the car) or get a stepdown transformer for the rest of the electrical in your car.

You're not really looking for numbers if you put a driver in a sealed box. I believe there is someone with two 12" (old Mag) in a sealed environment, I don't know if he's been metered though.
