Ok I got a box built got my 18" DP in and well here is the issue only songs that sound good on it is Trunk Bang and Counterfeit by young joc both very low songs. Box is 5 cubes tuned to 36hz IA DP 18" on a AB 400.1 at 1 ohm at 4k in a Chevy 2500HD 4 door 2 x 2400's 1 foot from amp 2 batteries up front, 250 amp alt, 2 runs of 1/0 back, 2 1/0 grounds. Nothing else is as loud as those songs I like Little jon use to be loud as crap on my 2 nightshade 12's but my box was tuned to 40hz then. I figured it would be close but it s no where even close to being as "loud". Any ideas? Maybe changing the tuning to be higher maybe taking it back to 40hz?

Do you think the IA will be ok at 4k? Waiting on my box specs from the guy that built it, but I am almost sure its 5 cubes after displacement for the sub, at 36hz. Also whats the specs on a DP like FS and such could not find it on the site to compare to the NS.

HaHa you no one has ask for a ride since I put it in.. Not sure if its the ST350's right next to there ear or the 18 right next to them or the port pointed.. HAHA It's the torture seat...

Seems part of the issue was the amp xover, since I can't turn the one off on the amp or my HU really I set the HU to 125 and set the amp at about 80 and much louder, the person that set the amp had it about 40 on xover.. Ok that solved that issue.. Any one got any ideas on a back wall in a truck I have tried EVERYTHING I can. Here is what is done so far.. Second Skin Damp pro and SPL tiles on back wall with edead v3 black over that, 2 2x4's on the back wall with a peace of MDF on top of that to mount amps and such to. but now the back wall and MDF are vibrating. Should I just take the MDF off? I am also going to try tennis balls in between the cab and bed to see if stops the back wall from moved I might try that before removing the MDF since they would help either way..

What would be the best final SSF, xover for my setup? The AC I can set it dead on and just raise all xovers and turn the ssf all the way down on the amp.. Ssf could set anywhere between 20-30hz any chance you take a look at xovr settings on amp? Yea I will check it again today to make its high enough..

crossover is around 80, SSF is around 30 ( I am added a Audio Control DXS monday so it will control SSF and xover digital so i know I am dead on ), head unit xover is at 80, +plus 2 on bass, eq is rather flat for sub, it goes 40/80/120 for subs 40 is +2db. Any ideas?

BTW I had a nightshade in the same box acted the same way, traded it for the DP as they tend to take a bit more power then the NS. It takes the power fine BTW..

Well you already did.. lol.. I was wondering what mine might be as well, I was unable to find that thread it must be really old.. I think I will just test it..

Does any one know what the real outputs are for the vlx-400 at 1ohms on 14.4 and 16 and can it take 18v? I have one I am either going to use or sale I have had it for sale for sometime but no body buying in this market so I might as well use it. Someone said it needs like 350amps to run good is this also true??

Was it FI that was making something called the FI X?? I have looked but can't find it and the search will not work for FI x to few letters together.. I thought they were some left over subs they had they put together, for like $70 to $99 I think.. A link would be great, I wanted to see if they still had some..

I never said it was an issue, but I find it hard to believe hes staying around 13.5 @ full tilt. Yea I have all that and mine still dips around high 12's and low 13's at full tilt, I can't see it staying at 13.5..

I have 3 batts, 250amp alt, all 1/0 running 2 12"s D2 at .5 on my sundon 3000D and never and issue, I also run my 100.2 at 2ohm and no issue with it either..

Is the box 3.1 cubes? I would think that would be a little big for a 12..

Don't mind the title but it made you look.. Well I must say my sundown is GREAT, my pioneer SPL 12" D2's sound great but was lacking in bass race today. So am pulling them back out ( I just got them in yesterday ) and want to run 2 15" so I can get the numbers I am looking for 145+ run in 139.9 class, but my problem is do you think 2 FI BL's D2 on a sundown 3000 at .5 ohms before rise would be ok or is that going to be to much for the BL's for a 30 sec bass race run? If the 3000D is to much for the FI's I have would one sundown nightshade D2 with upgrades be better. I am sure the 2 15" BL's would be louder right due to cone area. Reason I am thinking the BL's is because I have 3 sitting here and no nightshades right now ( unless Jacob wants to send me one ) .. They would be going in a Chevy 2500 HD 4 door, wanting to know what would be best to tune these to as well. I want it to sound good but still do good in bass race, I was thinking something low like 32 to 35. My pioneers are tuned to 40 right now but could not do a 139.9 today. They pioneers went in to replace my TC motor / XXX single 15" and it did a 139.1 the time I ran it last but was a different amp at the time, I thought the 2 pioneers would out do the 1 15" but I was dead wrong today. Any thoughts and sorry for the long post, I hope it makes sense I was baking in the sun all day at a comp.. lol
