I picked eclipse because I own an 8053. I have used pioneer and kenwood before, and all though pioneer is easier to use I'm just not into flashy displays. btw, are balanced lines worth it? I have been meaning to buy one.

I am about to have $500 dollars for a new front stage and I need some ideas here. My focal 165A's are ok but I need something with more midbass and isn't so harsh at high volumes. So what would you guys suggest for a new front stage with 500 to spend. I guess they don't have to be comps, I might do 8's with some tweets and x-over. I'm kind of skeptical on doing 8's in the doors b/c I don't have the experience to do a good install like req or others. I could give it a shot I suppose but I would like to hear component setups first.

ok well I checked out the CDT's and if I can get them for 300(when they are listed for 449) that'd be one heck of a deal and it looks pretty cool. The memphis looks sweet as well but I couldn't find the exact one you were talking about, perhaps they already took the older models down? I just couldn't match the ones they had with the model number you gave me. as for the rainbows, which models? IIRC rainbows = $$$$$$$$$$$ which I do not have a lot of. so as of right now the CDT's are lookin mighty fine. I'll tell you my idea as well. I want to try fiberglassing for this next project. after looking at a worklog on CA.com it doesn't appear to be as hard as I thought. I would like to maybe try the tweets in the a-pillar (sp) and then have the 6.5's in some kick pods. I just don't want my new ones to be in the same spots as my old ones (tweeter is on the floor practically). this sounds like an awesome idea. I wanted to do something like this for my truck, I just lack the talent of fiberglassing things(lol). You should really do it, write a tutorial, and then show it to me I really like steves idea though, that would be what I vote for. I'd try to put a screen in there to as well, kind of like monte carlo from CA.com.

I'm still not sure what I want, I'll have to do some research on all of the suggestions you guys gave me. does anyone own the setups they suggested? what kind of music do I listen to? Mostly rock, live concerts, and rap every now and then. My focals sound awesome with rock, just lack a tad bit of mid bass. when it comes to rap however, the focals just sound like crap. I just want to get the most out of my next setup. I didn't do a lot of research on the focals, I just bought them. I will be making a much better choice this time around

I need one that shows an RE SE like in the background. Then have the ssaudio logo in the middle. Then have 2kchevy in the far right corner. If you need me to find pics just tell me. surprise me with colors. edit: what i mean is have like a background color or something but have an SE included faded so the ssaudio logo goes over it but the SE is faded in the background ya know? I may just be confusing you I dunno =/........

I had seen SSaudio logos on some members sigs at CA.com. Never thought much about it at the time. It finally hit me whenever neonrider left CA.com and I saw the link on his post. So I came over. and that's my story

tommy I noticed in your photo album you have the stingray pic. Is that the place where you go out on a boat and they take you to this part in the ocean where there are like hundreds of stingrays. If so, I was there it was pretty cool. Did you feed any of them?

I liked the looks of my old 1100D better I guess we will see how they perform though.

I just got back from California not but 2 days ago. First time to go, was cool. I went to San Francisco. People that live in big cities are jerks though, that was the only downside. Here in Arkansas people are nice, those big cities they get attitudes over the dumbest sh*t.
