LAWL, I finally met some guys from the boards. I just met up with Jntar and David ( I forgot his user name). Got to hear two 15" MT's they were running. Finally got to meter my friends setup (weece over at ca.com) he runs an 18" MT run off an orion 2500D. Hit a 148.2 on the new TL. Not to shabby also, the IA20.1's strapped = t3h sex

New sub amp, showing off
2kchevy replied to 2kchevy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Its very cool, not as cool as the dei I had( thing never got hot) but it's not nearly as hot as the kenwood I had previously. It sounds clean enough, imho. I was bridging a kenwood amp to put 300 watts @ 2ohms before, so moving to the PA was a HUGE difference. Night and day basically, I finally get to see the ti wang(trust me it's got some movement to it). I view the PA basically like the DEI 1100D I had, it's cheap wattage that is not harsh on your wallet. 200 bucks for an amp that is rated at 1400watts at 2ohms(14.4 of course) I mean come on, it doesn't get much better than that. Of course, I bought this amp from a friend who didn't even use it maybe a week or two, so I kind of got a deal. hope that helps -
New sub amp, showing off
2kchevy posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well, a friend told me the other night he had some amps sitting around that he has never used really, so I asked him what he had and he replied with, "power acoustik stuff." Now, I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to look anyways. Well, come to find out one of the amps he had sitting around was a PA A2400DB so I jumped on that. He only wants 200 for it and it comes with original box, packaging, the works. Hooked it up to my Ti and MAN does it make a world of difference having this over my old amp. The Ti is really showing its true colors with this amp. My ears are starting to hurt now that I've been driving around with it. It's also nice to have a SSF once again it's a little muddy in the box I have it in, but I'm gonna try it out in both of these:1.55ft^3 @ 33hz, and .75ft^3 @ 40hz guy over at CA.com that has had a lot of experience with a Ti suggested both of those so I'm gonna give it a try. I'll get some pics of this new toy later on today, I've got class in 5 minutes...roffle. I've also learned I need some sound dampening badly. Point noted....... chev -
My friend recently purchased a ford econoline 350, 1993 mind you, and needs some help with it. Before I actually ask the questions, has anyone had any experience with this type of vehicle?

Issue? I'll hit you up with a pm. ngsm, that's practically a 12 hour drive but I'll let you know. lol (I just hate sitting in one place for a long period of time. ) Usually the drive there isn't bad, its always the drive back.

I have nothing to do this spring break and I had asked off from work because I thought I was going to cali, well scratch that idea. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone on the boards would let me come kick it with them for a couple days and depending on the drive I would take my truck and all the stuff I need to install and maybe we could tackle that. I know it's kind of a weird question to ask you guys since I hardly ever post on either ca.com or here anymore but I would really just like to do something over spring break. Peace oh btw, spring break for me is march 17th -24th.

lol michigan is a little to far for me. I'm just really looking for something to do and maybe have someone share knowledge with me. I'm a visual learner rather then reading.
-
lol thx for the replies guys...hahahahaha. Well, considering I only have horns that are playing 1.25khz and up and then a sub playing 63hz and down.....that kind of makes the music a little less enjoyable if you know what I mean. Oh well, mrray what days are we talking about that are good for you?
-
6 hours, mehhhhhhh that's not to bad, would just be a lonely drive.

sweet, I live in Fort Smith Arkansas not sure how far that would be...I'll mapquest it real quick. lol
