That is schweet!! Newer version of my bike with disk brakes, and sick price too!! yeah I know, that's why I was asking if it's a good deal. I mean it's the "flagship" per-say of that model line. Seems like an amazing deal. and ello ramos ;P

calves. Even when I was in shape I couldn't do a whole lot with legs. I mean I can't do chit now but back then I wasn't able to squat or deadlift much. now I can't for sure. It's so sad how you go from being able to do three sets of 5, 185 pounds, down to 115 x 12. Sad yes I know. (this is my old bench press, and new.)

    Welcome to the IHoP

lol.........yeah I do that after I eat though. I'm not really much of a morning person, even though I've been working out about an hour and half after I wake up. I might jog today, probably should get back into cardio, was kind of hoping the bike would be good enough though

    Welcome to the IHoP

Ok well I guess i'll go in and see how it feels on some of the more $$$$$$ Bikes. I'll ask them to size me up on a couple of em and see what it feels like. I'll try out some soft tails as well.
  19. 2kchevy

    Welcome to the IHoP

well I guess if I could afford it then sure. But I've only been looking at soft tails I haven't really looked up much info on soft tails. Would it be a better ride?

    Welcome to the IHoP

I've heard of Giant and Kona. I believe we have a Giant dealer if I'm not mistaken. Well in my price range I really could only afford a hard tail couldn't I?

    Welcome to the IHoP

well I haven't actually taken any of them out on a trail pur say, just sat on them. Most of the frames I was looking at were 19" or whatever. I'm 6 foot 2. I plan on using it for trails, MAYBE some dirt jumping but I'd be surprised if I did that very often. Yes I've had experience on bmx bikes. I used to ride a lot as a younger person, I was probably 16 when I was riding. I can do bunny hops, pop the front wheel up, if I have a steep enough hill I can do a 180. Any brand tendencies? As in what do I like? If that's the case I like Trek or Specialized otherwise I don't know much about other companies.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Ok I get your point......lol. If you are so sure of me buying used over new then pick out a bike on ebay that you think is a good deal and I'll try and find some reviews on it. I don't know enough to buy a used bike on ebay. So help me out and I'll take your advice.

    Welcome to the IHoP

time to hit the gym and go to work. Even though I dont' think my energy levels are really high right now I'm still gonna try. Now I remember why I went at night, because I had of lot of energy compared to doing it first thing in the morning.

    Welcome to the IHoP

hehehehehe. It's the bike I'm most likely gonna go with. I went in the shop today and they had so many more bikes then the first place I went to. I think I've made up my mind to buy a Specialized Rockhopper Disc in Satin Black Swoosh. As soon as my friend gives me the rest of the money he owes me for my half stack I'll go pick it up. Can't wait . Link? new/used? http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=22178 n00b Food for thought: a one year old Pro Disc will be about the same money if it is used. The upgraded component sets alone are worth looking for one. Out of all things that you can buy used, I highly. highly recommend doing it on a mt bike. the only problem I have with buying used is this. If I don't buy it from a shop I don't have a lifetime warranty on the bike frame. I also don't have a 1 year free maintenance work for whatever bike I choose. I'd be losing a lot if I bought a bike used......so that's why I'm buying new.
