Ditto... the greed of the upper echelon is the key reason, but where there is a loop hole, they are sure to exploit it to the point, that would allow pallets full-o-cash to slip by. They simply exploit the legal loop holes and can care less of morality in general. Trust me, with just $1 mil, I would be able to retire just fine and live above my means. But seriously, $250 mil a year, plus bonuses?!?!?!..... That is the foundation of everything going wrong today. They thrive to keep everything out of balance financially, and do everything they can to NOT be in the real world. I'm no socialist, but I do know that the top cats need to have caps on pay and restrictions on "options" along with the perks and benefits they get, etc... Profits need to be shared / distributed with the workers because it is "US" (the people) that keeps them successful. This would boost morale and increase spending, thus stimulating our economy. We work the jobs and put in the hours, and it is "US / WE" that buy the goods from them... The blatant greed of these CEO's makes me sick... Make me the CEO, and millions, if not billions of PEOPLE will love what I would do... make things RIGHT.
