does anyone want to buy a month old hifonics brutus 2600 watt amp? appearently the rca section of the amp isn't working well... like its loose or something.... i really want to sell this, soon, anyone want to offer? or know anyone who like disfunct amps?

yeah... thats the problem, i really wish that i had gotten a sundown3000 if i could sell the hifonics for like as little as half of what i paid, i could get a sundown

So, this morning at around 7AM, i get into my car, turn up the volume, and no bass. The sub wasnt playing at all. the lights on the amp were on, but i drive for like 15 minutes, still nothing. after 7 hours after school, i go to drive home, and still nothing, about half way home, BOOM the bass kicks in, just as loud as normal, no abnormalities. what could have caused this? ive had the setup installed for a week or so. 1 15" FI BTL Hifonics bxi-2608D Alpine IDA X100 headunit i have NOT checked ALL connections yet, but what else could it have been, it hasn't happened again yet. I will get a lot more concerned once it happens again, but right now, im not too worried.

well, the amp is bad.... would anyone like to but it for like cheaper? i heard that its just the rca thing inside.

Well, its not anything blown in the amp, because it turned back on. but then once i started the car an hour later, then it didn't play. i have only the big 3 and could it be because of 16 gauge speaker wire? :-( (which i am changing out today to 8 guage)

ok, checked all connections... then i looked, and saw that the amp is in protect mode.... what should i do????

well.... started my car up to move it, it did it again, i guess ill take the woofer out of the enclosure and check connections

Ok, my friend Want to get a 15" sub. He is think about doing either a BTL or BL he has the hifonics bxi 2008D that he got free from a friend. He wants to feel the bass should he do the BTL or BL? the BL will be getting more power than it need, but will the btl get louder even though it will be underpowered, considering how much more efficient the BTL is.

well, now he kinda cant afford the BTL what sub would match up good with that amp if not a BL

So, got the BTL all hooked up Running on a Hifonics BXI 2600D in a custom 3.3 cube box ported 33hz in a 2000 hyundai sonata And WOW WOW WOW One BEAST of a sub!!!! It keeps getting LOUDER and LOUDER!!!!!!! It moves EVERYTHING, Everyone is awestruck!!! My friend says that this ONE sub outdoes his 4 12"s by TWICE as much!! Nick, i know you got my email this morning at like 9:50 but i want everyone to know that if you like "The Bump" go BTL ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!! even though it weighs 70Lbs, i did expect THAT MUCH BASS!!!!!! im sure the my extremely good box building skills helped, but WOW Still havent turned it up all the way yet though, haha KEEP IT UP!!!!!!! 10/10 100% reccomendation to anyone with the $, or urge for "the boom"!!!!!

yeah, i spray pained it flat black about 10 min before the picture.. it came out a lot nicer... yeah, it kinda smells.. not too bad look at the size!! perfect And i made some really nice brackets to hold the box!

I had 2 15" Alpine type r's but now, come to my discovery, i had 16 guage wire running from the amp to the subs... What size should i get for a 15" FI BTL? running a little under 2000 watts? 12? 10 to be safe? ohhhh... the amp says "speaker terminals (molded) 12 ga." i measured, and i could easily fit up to 5 ga.

yeah, im not inverse mounting it, thats just to show the BEAST of a magnet its like 3.2 cu 33hz rather large port. :-D

ok, so im going to need new speakers... if i have $250 right now, what do i do? i want to upgrade the fronts first, but i need to do the rears, then amp them... i dont like the idea of no rears and what speakers for rear? 6x9s http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc...p;idproduct=236 for front, what for rear to match? and then amp?

when i had 2 15" alpinetype R's, i was fine with the stock speakers.... with the deck that i have, i can only go up to 19/35 with the stock speakers. i would like to buy some components for the front and maybe the rear, that get somewhat louder at 35/35 than the stock speakers got. mainly because my front right speaker is blown, and i just want a bit louder and better sounding.... i really dont want to have to be amping anything... the deck is the Alpine IDAx100 RMS: 18 watts x 4 channels

yeah, but i dont have much to spend. and i cant modify the car in anyway besides switching out speakers

oh, and can i put these just in the location where my stock speakers are?
