12's doing great with about 1.1 cu.ft. ported?

I can't think of one sub that can play well in as little as 1.1ft^3 & ported... sealed yes, ported, no. Now, single sub in 2.2? Sure.

Not for me... for my little bro's truck. The SPX crossover I was using it in took a dump.. I do have extras, but I'd rather go active since I am using the Mach5 6.5" in it anyways.

    2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ

Enclosure glassed & ready for the back to be put on it... Inside: 4-5 layers of matt layer of bondo-glass mixed with resin & applied with a paint brush. Coated in 2 layers of rubber undercoating. Outside 2 applications of bondo mixed with resin & applied with a paint brush Sand, sand, sand, sand. Good thing I'm covering, not painting... because I don't like sanding When I get back to my place (at my parents' right now) tonight, I'm going to be installing the back of the enclosure, more pics forthcoming.

Non-screen units: DVA-9860 DVA-9861 DVA-9965 I thought all they could do was change presets and you still needed the controller to change much else.

    Need box help........

Precisely... but that tuning frequency sounds good to me. Follow Mach5's box specifications, they are bang on.

Re: H701 You can use it with any headunit, provided you use the C701 controller to control the H701. Only some Alpine units can control the H701 directly (pretty much all of the optical output HUs).
  10. Perfect... Only cosmetic blemish is some rub marks on one side from being mounted too close to my other amp.
  11. $175 shipped. Can get pictures if you want them.

I'm rocking the 27" of CRT as well. I posted the maggies over on CSO cause I was bored today. Fryman had to make some comment about all the audio and a tiny CRT... I commented that I'm not trying to compensate for something with a big arse TV. Ha I got you guys beat bad. You suck, I have a 32. 26" WIDESCREEN

    2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ

Well, now that the noise issue is out of the way... time to get some work done! Removed the torsion bars that are used to lift the trunk lid, and installed an air strut. Before: After: I need to either find a stronger strut, or get another one, as it is not strong enough to actually lift the lid any... just strong enough to hold the lid up when it is completely open. Now, onto the subwoofer enclosure & amp rack. Lately I have been teeter totter'ing on whether to go IB or not... well, I've decided not to for now. This is what I have come up with: Yep, 18" of fury. The amp rack is the cubby hole on the left side of the enclosure. And resin added: The enclosure will house a MJ-18 from Mach5 Audio, and the amp rack will rock out with some Alpine PDX amps.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I wants the LEAP too! Sure would beat doing it by hand On another note... started building me an enclosure for the MJ18, which includes a simple amp rack for the PDX amps (currently have one, more on the way). Camera batteries died, so no build up pics, but there is fibreglass involved that I haven't started yet, just finished the stretching. I'll get some tomorrow.

what you think of my new rims for the MINI?

Moose = you dead when you hit one. I've run over a deer before (literally) in my first car, a 82 Cordoba

How much power are you feeding the MJ18 of yours aaron?

Every man must see Knocked Up. So funny, and soooo true.
  24. The same. The gain is the input level matching circuit. Higher input = less gain to match the input level that the input stage is designed for. The output stage is what uses/makes all the power (and heat).
