Ya, I know lol. Only downside is that it adds its own weight to the shelf. I'll just have to make sure I bolt it in well. I'd weld it in, but I want to be able to remove it somewhat easily if I choose to.

Haven't picked it up yet. Any recommendations? I think some of the tubing we used at work here for light/antenna racks on our fleet vehicle was close to 1/8".

1" square tubing frame + 1.5" of MDF bolted to the rear parcel shelf should be enough to hold one, or possibly two 40lb woofers right?

Wait until you see me in your car. My 6'5" 310lb younger bro fits alright, although he has trouble with the getting into it & out because he's not that agile of a big kid, and used to getting into trucks.
