    Input on 8's

While depth will become an issue, if you are willing to modify, 8s are beautiful for midbass IB in door. I am running some Peerless SLS's right now, currently crossed @ 220Hz @ -24dB/oct & they are monsterous down low & blend really well with my Aurasound 3" wideband driver crossed @ 280Hz @ -18dB/oct.

    12" and 15" subwoofer blowout

Very good. Very accurate, great output, blends very well with my front end. I had a friend listen to the stereo a couple nights ago & he told me to not to change my trunk setup again

I think Im Switching to SQ

What do you have for a front end install?? What other equipment do you have? That is the most important piece of the puzzle. Click on my project log link in my sig to see my recent SQ build.

    Sealed space on MLI-65's

Inductance changes with frequency... so it is hard to spec out. Re is as stated. Z is the impedance.

More pics! Front end install... a little better views: And the trunk... Exodus Audio XJ15 IB & the PDX1.600 and PDX4.100 Need to make a false floor out of 3/8 ply to cover the spare & cover the underside of the deck, baffle & deadener with matching carpet.
  11. I run mine off of a 50x2 amp (piece of crap Sony) & I have the gain temp set at 1/4 & attenuated @ the deck by -8dB. Not sure why you need two of them?

    SSD max rms power

Probably didn't go too low either. Hoffman's Iron Law, read up on it in the Tech Section.

    Need help making a box.

Truthfully, I do not care for WinISD in the least... and would much rather work out box dimensions & calculations by hand, or build spreadhseets to do the work for me.

    aero ports

Round ports have less surface area than a rectangular or square port... so in effect you can reduce required port area slightly. Aeroports' claim to fame is that they smooth the flow of pressurized air in the entrance & exit of the port, but keep in mind that tuning an aeroport isn't simple because of these openings. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7546 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=2805 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7411
  17. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showth...hlight=Rockford Remember too, that it is class A/B power, and birthsheets are great marketing tools... but these are solid amps that I was considering before I picked up the PDX's.

    Need help making a box.

I'm not to sure on max dimensions I need it to fit in my trunk of a grand am. I'm also not sure on sealed or ported, I mainly listen to rap and some rock. I'd say its a 40/60 split. And I dont understand what sound preference means. You need to grab a tape measure & measure the space you want it to fit in... I, nor anyone else, can guess here. Sound preference is based on music tastes. Sounds like you want something in the 30-35Hz tuning range.

tools to cut speaker and terminal holes?

I don't use terminal cups... some bolts, washers & nuts work fine. Router is one of the most important woodworking tools... I have two, a plunge & a fixed base, coupled with the Jasper Jig = perfectly rounded corners & circular circles every time.
  21. Yep! Lot of birthsheets around saying the same. They sell them on the store here too.

Ported? Sealed? Music preferences? Sound preferences? Max dimensions (W, H, L)? http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8021 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=9094

I don't have any use for one... but I'm looking forward to hearing Sean's installs in a couple weeks.
  24. Sooo, it is time for some ass time in my car seat tuning the system. I need music! Every genre (besides rap please). If you have links to some FLAC torrents of said media, please link me!

    Welcome to the IHoP

Not alot of woofers are designed for IB use Its not user friendly, easy to overpower You have to seal your trunk up, not an easy task Not all cars have fold down seats Need more reasons ? You need fold down seats? Odd... I don't have any!
