    Alpine Type X

Tweets are excellent... good passive crossovers. Mids leave lots to be desired in the midbass department (as almost all 2-way passive sets do).

    2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ

Did a shits & giggles run on the TL today. 133.6 @ 32Hz on the dash on 300-350W. LOL

Use these: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...;products_id=96 Cheapest tweet Madisound has, that way you don't use the stock of a good tweeter that someone else will use... usefully.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Reason I want to replenish my collection is... I like having the media on hand & able to rip it to my specifications. That, and I don't have enough ripped media to upload on OINK to do any significant downloading lol

Not sure where I can pick up used music from here in town... I posted on 306 asking where... I know pawn shops, but I avoid being a customer of one, since that is likely where my old collection ended up.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I am wishing 95% of my CD collection didn't get stolen... so I could rip them. Anyone know of any good online CD discount shops? I'd like to start up the collection again, but without paying stupid high retail prices.

Dimensions? I find it hard to believe a box that size will fit in the trunk (well, get it into the trunk to start).

RL-i8 on a center console for a truck.

.95 is too much for a Rl-i8 IMO. More suited for a good 12" subwoofer (for example the SI BM), even the Rl-i10. That enclosure size is more inline for two of the 8s.

    New vehicle, new project

You cannot run active with the 9831, since it only has the Plus version of Bass Engine. Need the Pro version (ex. 9813, 9815, 9833, 9835, 9855). A single 8" midbass in the center console would ruin alot of L/R dynamics, and I would recommend against it.

    Thoughts on a dashboard material...

He's trying to reduce reflections, not increase them.

I know I have a car audio addiction when......

When you haven't seen any of your friends for 2 weeks... and they ask where you've been, and you say... "Installing a stereo"

    Welcome to the IHoP

Question: How in the hell do you fit that many component sets in a vehicle? Not like it is a good idea if you can though...

    No sound from sub :(

Fix your wiring problems first, then we will troubleshoot.
  19. ANeonRider

    What happens when?

Port, tuned in the mid to low 30s & some good midbass would make that a reality! Do you have this sub?

Dog lover here too... and big, useful dogs at that. I can't bring myself to get one though, unless I have a huge backyard to let it roam in & for a big kennel. Dogs are meant to be outside, not a house pet IMO. Occasionally? Sure, but damn, let them run.

Did you disconnect the power before doing the switcheroo? Have a DMM handy?

Guilty of the crappy walmart crap
