If you plan on using them in a car, I hope you drive a van or large SUV. They need an enormous amount of airspace sealed, which the only alignment besides IB that I would use one in.

No other, single 3 ohm is actually pretty awesome for a 4 ohm stable amplifier, since with impedance rise it will be real close to 4 ohms.

1k?!!!! Oh lord . I was hoping more along the 700-800 dollar range. That was also when the CDN $$ was around 20% below the US $. Different story now. Should be able to find one for that price.

Documentation Take the measurements listed with a grain of salt, the testing done was very much sub par. I need to install PSpice to get some larger pictures of the schematics. I still have .bmp's of all of the board layouts as well.

I'm listening to the amp right now, on a pair of cheap satellite speakers. Not sure why I had it collecting dust, sounds great. Tomorrow one of the guys from work is bringing me an empty rack enclosure. I am going to transplant the amplifier guts into the rack, after I test it in the current enclosure tomorrow. I'll retest and see if it made any difference. Why? 1. More space, so I can seperate the transformer from the rest of the components as much as possible. 2. Rack mounting is ideal for the entertainment center I am envisioning. 3. Better cooling, the guts are currently pretty stuffed into the present case. I found my electronic format of the documentation. I'll be posting it asap.

I also play all of my music & movies through my computer, so a sound card is in the plan. Likely the AV-710 from Chaintech, since it is very budget friendly & everything I have read has said its performance on music & movies is excellent (I don't game).

For some reason, the Southpark episode about the aliens taking their jobs comes to mind. So tired of the whole impending doom crap, it is completely made up.

I think it was close to $350-375 at the time ('04), including the Hammond case ($50). Yes, BIBs for the FR. From what I have read, the performance in one is excellent, and there is no difficulty at all building one.

I have a bunch of 1 & 2 ohm high power (50W & 100W) resistors here to use for testing the amplifiers. The amplifiers share the same components, but my case is larger than my brother's & therefore, so is the locations of components relative to each other. I am going to try to find the documentation in electionic format, I lost my copies, but my brother may still have his. If not, I will scan what I currently have in printed material. I plan on testing the following: Full power Efficiency V no load Idle power draw Regulation % Harmonic Distortion, with fundamental freqeuncies of 20Hz, 100Hz, 1kHz & 10kHz Frequency Response, at 1W & full power, input will be pink noise Signal to Noise, at 1W & full power Output Impedance Loaded Channel Separation http://www.audioholics.com/education/ampli...ment-techniques The testing will occur at both 4 & 8 ohm resistive loads. I do not have a variac, so input voltage cannot be guaranteed to be stable @ 120Vrms during the testing process. Both channels will be powered for these tests to test the true capabilities. If anyone has any other tests that you would like to see, let me know. I will be doing this tomorrow after work (2130Z, or 5:30PM EST).

After doing more research, I am going to be utilizing a BIB enclosure. Going to be using the GM BIB enclosure design from http://www.zillaspeak.com/bib-gm.asp. Internal dimensions Height: 60" So: 24" Width: 6 1/4" Depth: 8 3/4" A,B,C: 4 3/8" Sm: ~55 in^2
