im looking for a three inch driver, sub,
ANeonRider replied to jonbearsmt's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
In boats, 9/10 you don't care what quality the sound is, you are concerned with overcoming the sound killing properties of trying to create something in an infinitely large enviroment. -
The only thing that can induce noise is a bad ground somewhere in the signal chain, or a poor ground plane on the amplifier or headunit. If you have a bad noise caused by RCAs, it is because there is a break in the wire, or poorly constructed connector.
-
Noise cannot be induced from a DC source to an AC one... not possible. Especially such a low voltage one as in a vehicle. If that was the case, you would have a huge problem in a vehicle, since the whole damn thing is the ground plane (i.e. voltage flowing over it to the negative battery terminal).

Processor dilemma(360.2 vs h701)
ANeonRider replied to cx-7heaven's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I throughly enjoy my H701, and wouldn't ever sell it. I found it very easy to use, but that may be because I have a D310 to control it. I have yet to use the C701 controller. -
Even without knowing what laptop, I can say yes. Although, depends on the video card for resolution options, all laptops have at least a VGA output, and the capability to do dual monitor (clone or extension).

Amps output their "RMS" power about 1% of the time they are in use, unless you listen to tones all the time...

Might be able to fit the Peerless SLS 7" in there... Then do some kicks with 3-4.5" mid & tweet.

Going active, need an experienced hand with a few things.
ANeonRider replied to chrismcdonald12's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I didn't know it was able to do active?? I thought Pioneer only offered the 880prs & P9 combo with active crossover capabilities. -
Meh, you are using 19mm lumber anyways

Low Bass Missing
ANeonRider replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The subwoofer output is amplified, so make sure the output voltage is within the voltage range the LOC can operate. I'm still convinced it is the LOCs doing though. -
Low Bass Missing
ANeonRider replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I've seen lots of frequency response plots for LOCs that show the low end roll-off horribly. -
Nothing back there would be better than stock.

The drivers in my doors also do not play anything higher than 250Hz . Kickpods if you are going the typical 2 way mid/tweet. I would also keep the tweeters in the kicks if they are playing below 6kHz... but these at just general ideas.

Sealed.
