Now, time for 8" midbass in the doors!

That would be broke... and cause? Likely overexursion. Need a new tinsel lead, solder won't hold it together well.

feel like i was run over with a bus, almost fell asleep in my chair.

Titebond Glue, clamps (no screws ftw), & a mixture of MDF dust & glue for the internal joints to ensure a solid seal.

Foo Fighters was the best show I have EVER been to, hands down, no comparison. Played for 2 hours 10 minutes, no stops. Kicked so much ass. My voice is in shambles, and I'm so damn tired today.

Hifonics Haters
ANeonRider replied to cccullen's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I don't like them because I had a look inside of one... that became a rather heavy paperweight soon after I purchased it. Quality is a very far off dream when it comes to the Brutus series. Live & learn. -
Sean doesn't listen to rap .

He might produce the subwoofer as an OEM, but he does not have rights to sell them under that name.

Big question is why was thilo selling Mike's product? Because Mike's product is actually just remarked TC products so in the end they are Thilo's products. Not with the SS logo...

Where do you buy your cables and connectors?
ANeonRider replied to bmr4life's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You can always build you own. Knukonceptz is where I buy most of mine, if I am buying. The SSA store might also still have some interconnects. -

Buy fresh resin... please please please. Any marine or autobody supply shop will have good fresh resin. -

Yep, do it inside, then once the rear mold is done, you can remove it. -
I've heard engineers say the same.

I was going to boost, then I changed my mind in December. Quick engine rundown: 2.4L Dodge engine overbored .020 (stock is 2L) SRT-4 rods 11.5:1 Wiseco .020 pistons Crane "22" high lift, long duration cams Crower valve springs Race ported head, upgraded lifters & rockers Crankscraper oil control system (windage tray, baffled oil pan, crankscraper) SRT-4 oiling system Long tube header, 1.75" diameter 27" long primaries, 3" merge collector, 3" cutout dump off of collector. AEM cam gears 30# injectors UDP Figuring out what I want for an intake still, probably ported out stock with the 90 degree elbow on the TB size removed & plenum size increased, 60mm or 65mm TB likely, 3" intake. Removing A/C, might keep P/S. Using a Megasquirt standalone engine management system. Should be good for nearly 210-220whp, 180-190wtq. In a 2500lb car, should be lots of fun & capable of 12s in the 1/4 if I can drive it. Dyno of a friend's car, almost the same specs:

Wooot Picked up some 11.5:1 pistons for the Neon, plus some oiling system parts I needed for a uber good price.

Simply... Main difference is that an active system has electronic crossovers (pre-amplification) & a passive system has electrical crossovers (post amplification). http://bcae1.com/elxovsp2.htm More effective? Active... hands down. No power loss through electrical components, adjustability on the fly (no need to redesign the crossover like a passive), and allows a user to use raw drivers & contour the sound to their preferences. More expensive? If done properly, passive. Low tolerance electrical components are expensive, and building the correct passive crossover takes a lot of trial & error because every listen enviroment & installation is different.
