How much just for the CVA-1000?
-
That is incorrect. D4's will be the only configuration carried. This is a group buy for a special order.

I've been pondering this for a while.... Should I sell the RL-p 12" and pick up 4 RL-i 8's instead and run the amp at 2 ohms, giving each 8 ~250W? Thoughts?

I own the only Soundsplinter sub in Canada.
-
PM me with max dimensions, link to sub specs, and desired sound and I'll try and get something ready for ya tonight. (I know you have already stated this stuff, but I'd prefer the PM )

Nobody. I know of one guy that did, and he doesn't have them anymore. But, then again, barely anyone has anything like I do at the moment too, and all I have is a large MDF box. Rarely do you see a nice install here, most of it is just crap thrown together. I just need to start the fibre work in the trunk so I can quit thinking too much. Either way, I'll be running 2 RL-i's in my HT soon.

I love the 12", but ya know, thoughts, crazy thoughts.

Give him time, the cone design changes have been plentiful thus far. -

I'd bet these would be absolutely phenomenal in a 'vette! Nice and tight enclosure spec's which won't take up massive amounts of room, but plenty of robustified output <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O, I know, that's why I have been telling him he has to do it -
Hmm, looks like I may be upgrading again hahaha.

Hmm, might have to do something with a pair of these. I know a friend of mine is very interested about using one or two in his 84 Corvette. -
And... for any Canadians interested, it cost $55 to ship a single RL-p 12" to me.

sure is, money I would not have saved otherwise, so I think of it as a forced savings plan

$1624.74 here. Didn't collect near as much from me though (~$2000)
-
It is, but sure sounds good. Also must add that it is being powered by an MRD-M300.

hmmm, I have design tons of enclosures for Alpine subs, mainly the Type R, and they love to be tuned to around 30Hz. Running a single 10" Type R in my brother's Avenger, and wow, makes ya think that there is much more than a single 10" in there. It is 1.5 tuned to 30Hz.

Gawd, I love the new Dodge/Chrysler cars. I need me one.

I'm gone for the weekend. Working on the car's suspension (lowering it this wkd) and starting some of the stereo install
-
haha, ya, I hope I do too. Seems good though, one instructor was cutting into the design and the program head backed me up on my design (whom is also a farmer, that would be the target for this system)

Thanks for the compliments, that is why I am advertising this place everywhere I go.

2 ft^3 tuned to 28Hz with 30 in^2 of port area. Never took any pics of the build though Click on the pic for a bigger one. Still needs to be sanded off and finished. Used a mixture of glue and MDF dust to seal it up, works great, and so easy to sand. Need to fill the screw holes, and cover. This might turn into just a test mule box, not sure yet what I want to do yet. Here is the box design (Excel spreadsheet): Click Here Pr0n available soon.
