    Soundsplinter vs Alpine

Cone area. Get a bit louder, but that all depends on the install/enclosure (comparing a 12" SS w/ 12" Type R)

    Soundsplinter vs Alpine

Bandpass, unless taken the time to design properly, sounds like ass. I like Type R 12's, but they do not sound as good as the Soundsplinter. The Perfects would be IMO the bottom feeder of the three choices. 1) Soundsplinter Rl-p 15 (ported) 2) 2- Alpine Type R 12" (sealed, unless you have alot of space) 3) 2- Infinity Perfect 12"
  4. headphone jacks are 1/4"

ABC isn't difficult... and allows for very low tuning, with no compromise on the higher octave low frequencies (50-70Hz).

    Tell Me....

What makes them decent then Elias? Pricing? Materials? Performance? I noticed one of their lines of components list the frequency response with a flatness of -10dB. Am I off-base thinking that is rather sad?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Well, this one, I started May 30th.... and it sucks chit. Have a new job with NavCanada www.navcanada.ca starting the 29th. Working on the navagational aids (radar, etc). $10,000 pay increase, $2500/year base increases for the first three years, then a possibility of a $10,000 raise if I pass a test. Send me to Cornwall, Ontario for 3 weeks for training, all expense paid. Paid moves if I choose to transfer to another area. $20,000/year spent on further education (all over the world for training, etc). And, better benefits, and room to actually move up in the company. Let's say I am excited.

Aperiodic Bi-Chamber, and it would be sweet in a HT app, since it is a larger sized box.

    Looking for some new 6.5

Frying the x-overs means you are either clipping, or overpowering.

    Looking for some new 6.5

Yup... kinda wondering what is going on to make them blow like that... Spend the money on a set of good quality components in the front, and an amp to power them.

what do you all do for alarms?

I have this information for a Firebird... but imagine they are the same: Constant 12V+: Red in Ignition Switch Harness Starter: Yellow in Ignition Switch Harness Ignition: Pink in Ignition Switch Harness Accessory: Orange in Ignition Switch Harness Tach: White in Coil Brake Switch: White in Brake Switch Trunk Pin: White (-) in Cargo Compartment Light Parking Lights: Brown in Light Switch Head Lamp: Yellow in Light Switch Hood Pin: n/a, have to install your own Factory Disarm: n/a Door Trigger: White (-) in Driver's Pin Switch Door Lock: Light Blue in Driver's Kick Panel Door Unlock: Black in Positive Trigger Horn Wire: Black (-) in Steering Column That is just information I have, I do not know if it is 100% correct. Check all wires before using them to insure that they are indeed correct. I assume no responsibility for any mistakes in the wiring information.
