Just wondering if maybe we could spearhead a Hurricane Katrina Fundraiser/Draw much like the Christmas/Make-A-Wish Foundation Donation Drive that Mike (Soundsplinter) spearheaded last Christmas? What do you guys think? Regardless, people shouldn't need prizes to coherse them into donating, but it always helps. I would be willing to donate 10 free enclosure designs for the cause.

Impedance is an AC measurement of resistance. You were measuring DCR (dc resistance). Since the dcr of the sub is around 3 ohms... that is the normal reading.

Nope, port lengths don't get halved. So do you want bandpass then? If that is the case, I don't guarantee anything... bandpass is more trial and error than not, and you probably don't even have the space to hold a properly sized bandpass. If you want all the output from the sub to go into the cabin, I'd recommend you to have the the sub face forward, and COMPLETELY seal the trunk from the cabin, and then port the box into the cabin.
