Don't buy from ebay... pm mrray13. Drop the cap and do the big 3.

pssst, your sub isnt the reason your amp clips That last statement makes a whole lot of no sense. Power compression maybe?

Actually, aeroports will have to be ~1" longer... Never have heard of any reason to have the port not near a wall, etc, unless it is because there is not enough room left between a wall, and the opening of the port. End correction only applies to slot ports using one of the outsides of the box as one side of the port in a slotted configuration. Port area is the outside dimensions, but has no relation to the length. Length determines the port tuning. Port area of a round port is pi*r^2 Port area of a square port is WxL Round ports require less port area because of the reduced surface area of the port.

More port area.

Sooo glad I got out of that steaming pile when I did. Good work Steve. I wonder what would happen if everyone's posts became zero, poof.

go sealed, using those dimensions you listed. If you mount the sub normally: 2.04ft^3 - 0.21ft^3 (driver displacement) = 1.83 ft^3 If inverted: 2.04ft^3
-
Have to remember that ports displace space as well
-
Those dimensions allow for a good sized box... If you use 3/4" MDF... 2.04ft^3 becfore displacements. I would go sealed.

Might be hard around there

I feel like a squished bug today... had a beer night last night. I don't remember how I got home
-
I dunno, but he ended up dropping the recessed area for the amp.

That's never a good thing ... have fun with that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Turned out to be the downstream 02 wiring... and since I don't need it (PCM does not read the downstream 02). Cap it and tape it, GTG. But.. while I was down there, figured out where my tranny fluid and oil and leaking from... oil pressure sending unit and tranny pan gasket. Total cost of parts = $26CDN + tranny oil.

OK, Just thought of this... He has probably displaced another 0.75" of depth for the recessed area to build it So... I need a pic of how its installed Kevin
-
That recessed area only displaces 0.132ft^3 Kent, since it will be mounted onto the 3/4" MDF to lower it 1.5" into the enclosure. For this enclosure: I already gave Kevin a length of 21.817, which will tune the enclosure to 30.5Hz @ 1.638ft^3. For other tuning frequencies: 28Hz: 27.402" (1.593ft^3) 29Hz: 24.982" (1.613ft^3) 30Hz: 22.867" (1.63ft^3) 31Hz: 20.997" (1.645ft^3) 32Hz: 19.323" (1.659ft^3)

328 miles. I have nothing to do on the wkds while I am there, so I will be travelling around, seeing friends in the general area Will see.

Hey Nick... I am gonna be in Cornwall, Ontario for 4 weeks in Oct/Nov... should meet up

Ugh ... PITA ... hope your roommate decides to get off his ass and phone the tow truck ASAP. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess he noticed I was a little rattled... got on the phone not 10 seconds after I posted that , it's home, in the garage. Fun night of wire tracing ahead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Found a chunk of wiring wrapped around the passenger side axle, this is going to be SOOOOOO much fun. Waiting for the sun to come back before I continue on.

Is there any way we could send him a little anthrax in the mail?

Well, could have told me... thanks.
-
I'm still working on the design. You changed the dimensions though

Car died today... short in the fuel pump/02/PCM wiring somewhere (common problem). Roommate offers to call a tow truck for me (he has coverage = free). Been waiting almost 2 hours now for him to go through with the offer... me = annoyed

gogole earth + paint

For both, have to remember to include displacements to the volume I listed.
