Picked myself up another Neon... ya, I am beyond repair... 1997 Sport Coupe DOHC 5 spd This will be my turbo project car. The car I should have bought the first time around. There is two spots of surface rust on the passenger side, which will be attended to in the spring. Interior is soooo clean (minus the dirt from my shoes). Parking it for the winter at a co-worker's acreage. Green car will now become the beater female dog... Well, he is an update of what has been purchased so far... 15x6 Neon snowflake wheels, will be refinishing in black Hawk HP+ brake pads SRT-4 turbo & manifold SRT-4 WGA SRT-4 Downpipe Vibrant Performance 20x7x3.25 intercooler JE 8.8:1 .020 Pistons Eagle Rods Sealed Power Main Bearings Clutchmasters Stage 4 4-punk clutch disk, probably going to sell it though and get a SRT-4 clutch that is modded to fit the smaller Neon transmission instead. Walbro Fuel Pump w/return line mod Megasquirt-I version 3 standalone engine management w/ sensors & extra circuits that are needed. Lorenzo Fuel Systems Fuel Rail Short Shifter Autometer Sport Compact Series Oil Pressure & Boost gauges ARP headstuds Need to pick up still: Innovative wideband O2 Intercooler piping Turbosmart 1:1 FPR Turbosmart MBC DSM BOV <--- found one, just need to pick it up Booger Shifter Bushings and Bobble Torque Strut 205/50/15 tires, no idea which ones yet though Started ripping apart the suspension on the car to replace it with the powdercoated pieces I already have and Prothane suspension bushings. Rust sucks... got the drivers side front suspension off, and all but one bolt on the passenger side front. Rear is rusted solid, going to attack it with a torch tomorrow, and if that doesn't do it, a cutting wheel. Torn into the engine as well, and removed the intake manifold & valve cover. Going to sandblast and either paint or powdercoat. Need to replace the heater hardlines to the heater core, no big deal. Need to replace the oil pressure switch since it is leaking oil, but I will just replace it with the oil pressure gauge sender instead. Once I get the suspension all together, and engine pieces installed, then I plan on installing the Megasquirt Standalone, and get it running correctly on the stock engine. Once that happens, then it is turbo time. Hopefully I will remember a camera too haha.

meh, I'm downstepping to ~600W whenever I pick up another amp. I don't feel the need to push the envelope anymore, or be so loud other people don't want to sit in my car.

Umm. Parts all over my bedroom floor, and a trunk full at the farm. Decided not to build the motor this year, and rip into it next year. Took a week of holidays next week so I can spend some good quality time working on it. Ordering Megasquirt this week. I'll post up some pics of what I have in my room when I get home

Not really, my rear drums were so worn on my old '82 Cordoba, that one day I didn't have brakes, and I didn't even realize they were worn. That was bad.

Power Brake Booster means exactly that. Your pedal would be like a rock, but you would still have brakes, just hee-man brakes.

Junk. Have had one sitting at home, slowly trying to fix that piece since December. Power plug broke, fixed that, now the damn thing doesn't work at all. Worst idea ever to volunteer to fix it. www.averatecforums.com
