Re audio amps
ANeonRider replied to bweber721's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
BCAE Read it, and then read it all again. By get a econd one, he met get a second subwoofer, exactly like what you have, and run them together in parallel. This would give you a 1 ohm load. As for examples of 1 ohm subs... too many to even take my time doing. -
Not this time... but maybe in the future. I might be coming to Winterpeg for a 4 month acting term at the ACC.

There is no way to make a 2 ohm sub 1 ohm without doing a recone. -
I had second thoughts... offered 450shipped for the rods & pistons. See if they bite... if so, I just got $850-900 worth of parts for about half that... and I can sell the brand new rods I have for $250-275
-
Steel crank & DOHC, yep.
-
Not sure. Hmmmmmm. 5.472" H-Beam 420A Mitsu products use them (of course, same block), and that is all I can see that shares the same rod as the Neon 2.0L.
-
I'd buy the rods & pistons... and sell the extra set of rods, but I don't want to have to hold onto them in the case nobody does buy them.
-
This is a seller on a forum... wanted $475 for new eagle rods and the pistons (new as well)... I have rods already, so I offered $350 for the pistons. They normally go for around 450.

Waiting on a seller to get back to me on some 8.8:1 std bore wiseco pistons... I hate waiting.

d2= dual 2ohm Mag.... and not a series of woofer. Their website lists the impedance as well.
-
One 4" would be sufficient.
-
Noticed that as well. Bass loading FTW.

haha, can already tell he's going to be a bright one.

Pick up a cheap 1st gen Neon

I love playing ultimate frisbee...
-
For a trunked car... Neon's have quite a bit of cabin gain.
-
Alpine CDA-7894, at +15 on the subwoofer volume, has a 4V output. I usually keep the sub volume at +5-10 for listening purposes... +15 overpowers the front stage. Gain is set to ~4V... but its just a guess at the moment. Need to get the o-scope and some -3dB tones to check it out.

Learnt to drive when I was 10 on a 79 3/4 ton 360 Dodge w/4 spd. Most interesting little truck was a 62 Ford F100, straight six, 3 on the tree.
-
a little add on... you have to play the sub to loosen the spider, and I'm not talking about none of this playing lightly stuff either.

Break in is a myth. Just play at a low volume to make sure the subwoofer is in good order and listen for any bad sounds (scratching, popping, etc). Once it passes that test, play away.

My 2.0ft^3 tuned to 28Hz off of the XT2000D kicks you right in the stomach when the kicks start thumpin.
