Powerbass USA....dude IM me, I thought you were Johnny from Powerbass?

Hopefully AJ will hear our plea & help push some through. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AJ is nolonger with powerbass,,last i heard he went to Concept,or one of the other smaller lines...... the Biggest Diffrence between the old and new XS were in production date.......the first few runs of the '02 models, the over all suspension of the driver was very Loose, raising the efficancy of the driver, big problem with it was although the Voice coil could take the abuse the suspension couldnt, tearing surrounds, seperating spiders, cones slapping on tinsel leads...these where all common problems found with the earliest model XS.....with the later 02-03(still black Basket)the driver became a bit more refined, adding of dual spiders, increasing Surround Wieght, getting it up to par, with its competion....... then onto the 04 and 05 XS,,,,,,,big changes were comming..ok not so big of changes, the motor structure stayed the same, the dual spiders stayed the same, dust cap, cone, connectors, the only thing that has changed is the appearance, decreased the Motor whieght by 10%,chromed the basket,no change to the Yoke,so i hate to be the one that breaks the mith............but unless you had shipment from the first few batches(and belive me,you didnt want them)there isnt much of a change <{POST_SNAPBACK}> umm....the early 04 models had the same problem, in fact I have not had one of the new XS's last for any period of time, we just keep seperating voice coils from spiders & spiders from baskets. As you can tell from my sales recipts I no longer order the new XS's, I still get the old black ones (03 models)

Well, we are going to find out. I don't think (or even pretend) that the XS's are capable of the # the APX's do. However, & am confident that they will beat the snot out of the AP's......actually 4 of the ES12DS were only .1 down from 4 Atomic AP's, so yeah, the XS's have the potential in my eyes. As far as new Vs. old XS's. The new ones handle less power, & are more geared to LOUD good sounding bass, & are a little more refined than the old ones. the old ones have a bigger magnet & will handle far more abuse. Those that have set records with the XS's have done it with the old ones, NOT the new ones......I am pleading with my sales rep to get them to put out another run of the old ones......Hopefully AJ will hear our plea & help push some through.

did u forget about us???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me forget, naw guys. I just had a Deal on "Good Morning Sacramento" on KMAX/UPN that I had to get a bunch of cars ready for.......also, I had to retrofit the Rex for one of the 3000D's in place of the Interfire's previously ran.....you know, Pimp the new stuff every chance we get.....I thought the dude was gonna have a heart attack when I hit him with a 163.1dB burp (at 49Hz, not my usual 52Hz, but for the camera the subs move a lot more, & sounds louder)!!!! By the way, that was with the old XS15's, only 2 of them........def. beat the snot out of the Del Sol I built for the TV show with 2 Atomic AP's (pulled a 158+ outta it, still not bad though).

dude, weloce to the site. As stated, lets see some pics!

Powebass XA 3000d
basspro replied to XTRMEASURES's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Okay, so I have two KNOWN variables, so instead of just using those, I should use them to get a third, completely unnecessary variable, round it to the nearest integer, and then use it those in a different formula that achieves roughly the same results, but not quite because I rounded the third, completely unnecessary variable ... ?Wow, that's SOOOO much easier than just using Power = Voltage^2/Resistance ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> neither way is wrong, just whichever way you preffer. -

You are not talking EQ D2's are ya?..........if you are I would pass. If you smoke em, they wont fix em. But, your perogotive. As far as the 300D's, we got 107 Volts at 1.3 Ohms, with 17volts on the power side. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats kinda weak isnt it ? I got 135V on my bro's 4000D running on 12V at 2 ohms. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is a lot easier for an amp to put out higher voltage at higher ohm loads, btw the crossfire 4000D is a very strong amp, I belive that the pbx 3000D will hang with it at 2 ohms. using ohms law107V div. by 1.3 ohms gives 82ish amps..then firgure 107 V times 82 amps =8772watts...........yeah, kinda weak , not quite the wattage from the 4000D, but also look at the price diff. -
x2 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK, gove me a couple of days, & i'll put together a review of en for y'all..........with pros & cons for the speaker......I will do my best to have it posted by Saturday.

eehhh, not quite like a dub7, the terminals are the same as trhe MTX 9500. Also, it comes with a grill, but it is not integrated into it. The only thing I dislike, is that is it a pain to mount inverted....,but with the woven cone, it looks good either way.

So, does anybody have any of these. It looks like I am still getting 2, but I need 2 more for an extrreme car we are building....worst thing is, we need the car to compete at the USACi Fresno show on the 2nd YIKES! We have cash & will travel to get these bad doggers, so help a brother out!

yeah, the part that really hurts, it that they were here...on the UPS truck....but PBX misslabled it & somehow it cam COD Money Order!.....totalling about $3200.00 YIKES....you can't just go down to the post office & get a Money Order that large.....I tried & they laghed at me, then called the cops....I got pulled over about a mile down the road....they searched me my car, found the boat load of $$ & got really suspicious.....this all happened right down town...so that was really great publicity for my shop......so the amps got sent back to get relabled......but somehow didn't find their way back to me -
therer should be a sticker on the basket it should either say SX1D for the ohm or XS1D1 for the 1 ohm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> nope.....no handy sticker....got it from a buddy of mine and it looks like he removed it......anything else? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> damn it, I hate it when that happens, looks like it is time to get that DVOM or DMM......I personally use the Fluke 88, but it is like a 460 dollar meter, any elcheapo will vork just for checking ohmage, although cheapers ones are less accuate, but you can pick em up for arounf $15 at wally world or radioactive shack. I would really suggest getting a decent one if you are planning on doing more car audio wise.

where is Suagus?

umm powerpup? wow lol

Well, I'm not sure what your asking, but will try to answer & clear up the sit. Powerbass used to be Powerbase. Last year (I think just to make me happy) both the Autosound & the Xtreme divisions changed their name. anything PRIOR to 04 was base. The older PBB subs (with foam gaskets) were se, now they have rubber gaskets. The older ES series has a flat spider (base) the newer ones have a raised spider (bass), & the XS series went from Black huge magnets (base) to chrome & just slightly smaller magnets (bass). I hope this helps clear up the confusion. Also the ES series 2 ways & comp set underwent a slight change. the 2 ways got smaller, easier to mount magnets across the board, & the seperates both fixed some X-over issues & gave a smaller magnet, but also changed the tweeter.

If you are looking at SPL, see if you can get the 03 version of the XS 15's....easy to spot, as they are black instead of chrome. I have a pair in my rex, & push 4 Interfire IFD100c's to em & look at my sig for my SPL #'s. on the old TL with the mics we are doing 163.5's, & 175.9 in the port..... what I have found though is the new 15's SOUND better, but don't take as much abuse, although the memphis you have won't be pushing them that hard. I would def. step up to the 15's over the 12's.

3000.1 amp question
basspro replied to BoominD's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
yes, from what I am told they will take up to 19 volts....... under 15V they are Regulated, & over they are unregulated....I will be testing them next week.....we ordered 5 for my shop & we will see what they do....I am prepared to be impressed by them. RC whats up man!
