agreed. There are a lot of variables that come into play. an enclosure that looks flat in modeling software will most likely be far from flat when put into a car

as for setting up the amp correctly, there are guides on this site that you can read and then you shouldn't have any problems doing it yourself. As for building a box, as long as you have a solid design, you should have no problem building it yourself and it should work fine. I built my first box not too long ago, having essentially no fabrication experience (I had driven nails and cut 2x4's, but not much more). I used my friend's table saw and made a box, that wasn't exactly pretty, but it worked great. . If you don't have access to a table saw, you can have home depot or lowes do all the cutting for you, and if the guy's nice he won't bother charging you for the cuts. goals? the Mach 5 is geared more towards sound quality, while the lvl4 is geared more to get loud

X2, an ideal ported enclosure with an SSD or Q should get u pretty loud. there arent many people with systems where i live, so most people are really impressed with my 2 10's sealed off of 250 watts. making jaws drop is a matter of the audience IMO

you should probably build a box that just takes up most of the space

I've used them in numerous installs and never had any noise issue. In fact, I've used the cheapest RCAs known to man and never had a noise issue. Same here. I don't buy into high end cable bullchit. A twisted pair sheilding is usually good enough to block out any unwanted noise. I'd be more worried about bad grounds or connections. And anyone in car audio that says differently is an idiot. sounds like we have a big fan of monster cable How so? But the Q's would be able to put out a lot more output down low, which those cheaper subs definitely won't be able to do. But like M5 said, the BL is Fi's lower powered SPL sub, which would be more along the lines of the HDC3
