  1. Hey guys! Like the title says, I'm getting a brand new setup on a new car, but i'm not too familiar with subs and amps. I stumbled upon this site (an awesome site by the way ) and learned so much already! So now I turn it over to your thoughts and opinions! Here's what I'm looking for. I want a 12" sub in a sealed box. I want a good amp that works very well with the sub. I don't want to loose too much trunk space (need to fit my mountain bike in there.) I've been leaning toward the rl-p after everything i've read, but I'm not sure if I should wait for that new D2. I would like to get the sub in a week or two. I want something that sounds good and hits hard and low, but isn't too overpowering. Am I making sense??? What would be a good amp to power the rl-p? Should I go with the 2ohm or 4ohm? Whats teh diference with this anyway? Thanks for all the help!!!!
  2. Yeah, I can't wait until I get this all set up!!! MTX amp + Soundsplinter sub = great times!! Thanks again for all the help!!!! You guys are AWESOME!!! I'll have to let you know how it sounds when everything is hooked up. I'll probably order the rl-p tomorrow. It's Mike that I talk to right???
  3. SWEET!!! You guys ROCK!!! I compared the Hifonics and the MTX and I'm definately leaning toward the MTX. You were right mrray13, MTX does make a sweet 800!! Take a look and let me know what you think! http://www.cardomain.com/shop/compare.pl?c...%3D14&x=19&y=15 Run it at the 2ohm and I'll be good to go!!! Thanks again!!!
  4. Thanks for all the help guys!!! And thanks for the welcome! I was actually looking at an MTX amp. I heard they were pretty sweet! I'll have to check on the Hifonics as well. Inserting a bit of ignorance here....if I get the 4ohm sub, should I get an amp that runs at 4ohms as well??? Thanks again!!
