Wow, a 149 with 1 BL 18. That's amazing, I wonder what I was hitting back when I had 2.... I'd love to get my BTL metered, but no one has a tl around here. Before Carpet, Double Baffle, And flush mount. BTL next to BL Cap was removed as quickly as it was installed. Oh yeah, and my original 2 BL setup.

After doing this a couple of times I give up.... I'm trying to order a couple of m5 ixl 10's and when I go through the process and enter all the information, select paypal, and click proceed to payment or whatever it just refreshes the page. I guess just so you can say that you have 3,000 watts going to a BTL 18.... I'm not sure. But if done correctly they can thermally handle it. I got my 3000D back when I had 2 btl 18's, just to have some overhead. But it ended up working great when I switched to a BTL in a relatively small box. (~5.5-6 ft ^3 after displacement).

Irragi has some amazing prices on alts, I shot them an email a couple of weeks ago. Just shoot them another email.

Got my 50.4 installed last night, I LOVE it . Sundown has great products.

Installed my sax 50.4 last night, ran about 100 ft worth the cable. Although they advertise this amp as a 50 watts x 4 of power output. It has to put out much more than rated. Back speakers are wired to 4 ohms and the front pairs are wired @ 2. This thing sounds great, my speakers scream now. Sundown Audio really has some great products, too bad my 3000D is no longer in production and I'll be SOL when trying to find a match for another BTL when db-r runs out.

Thinking about switching up my christmas build and adding an additional sundown audio 3000D and a BTL 18 Something like this..... subs up port back 12 ft ^3 tuned to 29 hz. There will be a 3/4 plexi glass window (laser etched) on the port side. What yall think? ** before I get more posts about my electrical, if I go this route I will be investing in iraggi alternators. At least one 300 amp, I'm not sure if I want to go the dual/quad alternator route.

This was the mach up, amp was mounted and wiring was organized. It accomplished all he wanted, which was to have some "decent high bass". But they surprised me at how low they got.

Can the music you play be from an ipod, or does it have to be a production cd that you have purchased? On the rules it says no burnt cd's, I was looking for some clarification. Thanks

I have called all the local car audio shops trying to find someone with a TL. I just don't want to spend $650 on a meter, when I could buy another sundown audio 3000D for that. I'm just asking if anyone knows of a place that has a TL anywhere in the montgomery or birmingham alabama area. Thanks. Are there other types of meters that are close to that of the tl, but aren't as expensive?

I would start with something a lot simpler and smaller...... just to get your feet wet. But if you insist, you will need at least 100 AH of additional battery storage. BTL subs can only be effectively used in ported enclosures at least 5 cubic feet. Sundown Audio make high quality, reasonably priced amps and I would go with them. You would need to go with the dual 2 sub so you could run the wires parallel to the amp and have a load of 1 ohm.
