Sundown Warranty In the stipulations, it says: 1) If your amplifier has a blown power supply or damage from excessive vibration there will be a charge for a warranty replacement within the 2-year policy: * SAZ-1500D and smaller amplifiers (or any future model under 2000 watts) - $30 in the continental USA (AK and HI add $15) * SAZ-2000D and SAZ-3000D (or any future model 2000 - 3000 watts) - $50 in the continental USA (AK and HI add $20) Basically, if you blow the powersupply due to .5ohm usage, its gonna cost you 50 bucks to get it fixed. Keep your electrical up and you'll be ok. You won't blow the PS unless your voltage gets too low.

Thanks guys. Yea, I'm really trying to keep my head up and have the attitude of I'm gonna find a better job than where I was at. I'm already following up with people I've worked with while at the last company, some real good people. They pretty much are telling me the same story, someone with my skills and experience will not have a problem, I just have to find the openings. My wife is following up with an opening they have where she works, but she says it will be culture shock, all their equipment is 5 years old or worse (government job). Where I came from, we pretty much upgraded every 3 years, I just finished installing a rack of quad core HP Proliant servers with VMware ESX on them, real speed demons, oh well....

Would help to know what kind of vehicle you are talking about. I have a 97 Maxima SE with the Bose system, mine has 4 seperate amps, one for each speaker and there are no settings. -
Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in

When I get my system together, I'd like to have some valuable time with an RTA to get the EQ (PXA-H701) setup right. Has anyone tried using this? Phonic PAA3 Handheld RTA Its not for setting up a competition vehicle or anything, but I'd like to know if it is good enough for me to get my eq flat with pink noise and I'll adjust by ear from there. Your thoughts? -

Ok, now that program is bad ass !!! Just with the built in laptop mic it works. Now, is there a better mic I should get? There are a few high end options. But for a good cheap mic, the Behringer ECM8000 is around $50 on ebay. I've used it quite a few times to tune professional sound systems. You'll need a USB audio interface as well. M-Audio makes a couple of cheap boxes. I found the ECM8000 on Amazon for $50 bucks, and I also found this: MXL USB Mic Mate - USB Preamp Do you think that will suffice with the Behringer ECM8000? -

Cool, I'll check both of those out. Thanks, Bob. -
Yes, the pico fuse you are talking about is the internal ground fuse on the RCA's that blows easily.

You should also consider DC Power Inc for your alternator. I believe his prices are better than Irragi and the quality is top notch. My alternator is a DC Power 250amp and does 140amps at idle. My ride is also a 1997 Maxima so I know he has one that fits your car !! http://www.dcpowerinc.com . The phone number is on the webpage, give Robbie (the owner) a call, he will hook you up. Not all his alts are listed on the page so don't be discouraged if you don't see it listed. He ships quickly also. Bob. -
I voted for the new Lincoln. Now you just gotta find out where to put those E8's !!!

Picked up my new SAZ-3000D from my local dealer, Travis / High Decibel Audio in Delray Beach. Now all I gotta do is build like a crazed mofo !! Here are pics of the new toy next to one of my SAX-100.4D's. Gotta love the rubber floor mat !!! Big Brother and Little Brother, I don't know why, the camera just didn't want to focus on the tops of the amps. Crossovers Speaker and Power connections Amp Guts More Amp Guts Even More Amp Guts

Yea, my other 2 100.4's are in my desk at work, I'll have to get the boys together for a group pic hehehehhe
-
I would have to say you have something wrong there. Can you list how everything is hooked up between the head unit, amps and speakers/crossovers ?
