Good god man.. I bet the low end DESTROYS. I wish I could fit just a single 18 in my trunk

I know its gonna be around $1,500-2,000 after electrical and everything. I'm not stuck on Fi but I'm more than happy with the product I got from them the first time. What would you recommend? As long as it can take gobs of power. edit: if I go with the 12's should the box have separate chambers or can it be common chambered?
-
I mean the aq 2200's are most likely whats going in if I get the 12's. So 2200+2200 = 4400 (900 more watts) edit: the ssd is pretty loud, I can't even imagine 2 BTLs...

It should handle around 1500rms I believe but I'm not 100% sure...

Help with my electrical
ShaneSauce posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Planning on running a sundown 3k and another amp for mids/highs I'm gonna buy a 160amp alternator for my little '97 tercel (its the highest output alt they make for it) I guess I will run a deka under the hood? Big 3 upgrade Will I need another deka to put in the back? And how would I go about wiring those 2 amps to 2 different batteries? -

You don't have voltage drop on a stock alt with 2 deka's? -
I have a zx750 on a 15" SSD and it sounds amazing. BUT I made my own box according to what would sound best by Fi's recommendations. Do yourself a favor and go buy a $20 sheet of mdf and make your own box.

Help with my electrical

How do I wire 2 amps to 2 batteries? Its confusing the poop out of me. -
New setup coming soon, here is my current setup. Fi SSD 15 in 3.5cuft @ 33hz Kicker zx750.1 on the sub (4 gauge power, 12 gauge sub wire) Kenwood coax 4's in the front & coax 6 1/2" on the back stage (both running on deck power) New setup Fully loaded BTL 15 in 4cuft @ 30hz Sundown 3k @ 1ohm on the BTL (Big 3 upgrade, 0 gauge power, 8 gauge speaker wire) Some loud components in the front, idk what to put in the back Sundown 100.4 for the components and the back (4 gauge power, 16 gauge speaker wire) 50-100sqft sound deadening kinetik 1600 superglue for my rearview mirror

Looking into the deka, I'm not sure where I would get a zx2500 for $600 And the HDC3's are only rated for 1k continuous power.
-
But those all seem to be around the same price there isn't a huge difference in any of them. Maybe if I can sell of my current system for like 500 I can get my new system a little quicker.
-
Well throw those suggestions at me, I'm all ears. I just want ridiculous loud for $1000-1500
-
Yea that's probably what I'm going to end up doing. I'm adding this all up and its coming out to around $2,000 Do you guys think its worth it? lol I'm only 16 and I'm gonna be working all day everyday during the summer to pay for this, haha
-
How about a sundown 125.2 for the front stage? And 12 gauge will be used. I understand if my voltage drops near 11 or low 12's I need a alternator with a higher output. I will go with the 2400 and see where it goes from there. I don't know what to do about my backstage, if I take out those speakers there will be 2 big holes on my back deck, so I will have to figure something out there.
-
I would say 8cuft @ 32hz Loud and looooowwwwwwww
-
Do yourself a favor and measure out the trunk. Its not of the subs will fit, its if the box will fit.
-
For meh trunkkkk Its average size, I wanna do 1 layer 50sqft, 100sqft?
-
I just want to do the trunk, and that's allot of money I would be spending to do the whole car. edit: well its a '97 toyota tercel the car is tiny. I would say the base of the trunk is around 2-3 feet wide and about 2 feet long? And then the roof of the trunk and the trunk lid.
-
I'm not good with math
-
If your going for sq get the Q, if your going for loud go with the BL. Just curious why are you going with a 12? Whats is going in? Mine is in a trunk, its not ridiculous loud but all my buddies tell me to turn it down when they ride with me because it vibrates their vocal chords and hurts their eardrums lol edit: I believe my birthsheet said 900rms somewhere around there
-
I have a zx750 on a SSD 15 and it slams. What are your goals?
-
Yea that is definitely a BL bro. Magnet is wayyyyy too small to be a BTL.
-
So I have had my SSD hooked up on my zx750 now for about 3 months and I love it to death it sounds amazing and all the kids up at the high school chit bricks when they hear it. I'm guessing I'm hitting in the low 30's on TL. AND I FINALLY FIXED THE RATTLING!!! But I want a bit more, it would cost around $1000 dollars if I sell my SSD& for $500. I'm thinking cut out the upper trunk railings so I can fit a 5cuft box in my trunk instead of a 3.5cuft box (1) Fi BTL 15 fully loaded (1) 2k-2500rms amp (possibly sundown2000 when it comes out) 1 run of 0 gauge, 8 gauge speaker wire And obviously some batteries, not too sure on which ones and how many I'm going to need(suggestions?)

ShaneSauce replied to ShaneSauce's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Yea he really needs to set the gains with a DMM so he doesn't blow em. I guess a slanted box it is.
