Anyone ever checked to see how warm the cone gets?

I believe it was actually denim who brought up the deformation comment (at any rate, it surely wasn't me). Anytime an aluminum cone is moving you should not touch it, as the force of impact could dent it. However, if a warm cone is at rest, there should not be any problems in touching it. If you're really juicin' the driver, the cone can almost be too hot to touch, but it still maintains its structural integrity just fine so long as you aren't beating the poor thing. my bad, i thought i read that you said that -
